Sucaba / Parabola in MD

No one seems to have the answer to this question.

 

Wine Source got theirs today. One per.

 

Fishpaws in Arnold had it.. just over $20 with tax

 

I heard today from a Total Wine Laurel employee it's likely MD isn't going to see Sucaba this year.

 

Old Line in Beltsville, MD has 3 Parabola on the shelf at 4pm today. $19.99 each.

 

Total Wine in Towson had 6 cases this morning, one per customer. Only $15.

 

6 Cases of what? Parabola, right?

 

What about VA and DC?

Was told today in DC that Sucaba froze and burst in transit and that's why we haven't seen it, and probably won't. I really hope that potential rumor isn't true.

I guess with all the cold weather recently, it is likely that it reached between 14 and 22 °F. I feel like they would account for this in transit. For something with at least 12.5% ABV, I guess they might not have been worried, but if Sucaba froze then that must mean they lost a lot of beer this season in transit. At least this comes with its own box to contain all of the broken glass. I mean Parabola got here and didn't freeze but it is at least 13% ABV.

 

Who knows if it's true or not. I'm a little surprised someone hasn't appeared in any of these threads to offer an explanation to why we haven't seen Sucaba yet. I've had one DC "beer guy" tell me it ain't coming, and one guy tell me it'll be here next week. We shall see.

 

Yeah, I highly doubt that we won't see any Sucaba. I would like to think that they would announce something if there had been an issue with the transportation of it. However, when it comes to distribution not too many companies are very transparent, but FW is a good one.
