Anyone have any insight as to if Portland is getting a shipment of Stone Enjoy By 4-20-2014 (lol) . I foolishly passed up on the last batch we saw up here and the decision still haunts me! I am however, patiently awaiting (and I hope it gets brewed up again this year) to get my hands on another bottle of Ruinten.....shwing!!

It arrived late last week, so most places either got it Friday or will be receiving it today or tomorrow depending on their delivery schedule. We got our allocation on Friday, and as of now we have about 2 cases of bottles left and a keg of it pouring in the bar.

Just a suggestion, but... I would strongly recommend that you try the new "enjoy by" on tap at the BS cafe before buying a bunch of bottles. I've been a huge fan of previous batches, but I thought the current batch decidedly underwhelming. I tried it side by side with tank slapper and dirt wolf, and the enjoy by was clearly the lightest and least iimpressive beer of the bunch (to no great surprise, tank slapper was vastly superior to both enjoy by and dirt wolf). I was pretty disappointed...

Important to note that Tank Slapper is vastly superior to most beers.

It's pretty good, I only had it out of the bottle but I've had worse SEBs.

I have had every batch of Enjoy By that's come through Oregon, and to be honest this is probably my favorite, simply because it has less of that savory garlic/onion/beef flavor than all of the previous batches I've tried. It was still prominent enough that I didn't want to drink more than sample, but at least it didn't taste like beef bullion this time. FWIW, I had a small sample taste and then went straight for the Tank Slapper.

Ok I had it and maybe I'm the victim of someone building it up too high but I was pretty disappointed and here's why. I thought the smell was awesome actually, great smells of everything you want, great mid taste as well, but it ended with a unpleasant waxy almost lipsticky kind of flavor (I remember being a kid and thinking everything was candy and went after moms lipstick once). Maybe no one else gets that flavor but I sure did. And I doubt it was a bad bottle considering everything else was spot on minus the bad finish that lingered. I of course finished it and wouldn't have been too bummed had it been a 5 dollar bomber but it was 7.50 and thats kinda steep for one beer to me considering I can darn near get a 6er of something good for almost that. I assume the recipe changes every time they put a enjoy by out right? Cause I will try future batches still however. Cheers

I had it at beer mongers yesterday on tap and thought it was the best enjoy by I have had. (i have had 3 iterations). The smell was super dank - almost to boneyard level and the taste and mouthfeel was spot on - nice resin. I had BR Apex right after that and thought both were very similar. All-in-all, I'm happy i got some.

If anybody is still looking for it, I picked up 2 bottles of Enjoy by at the Bridgeport Whole Foods last night. At the time, they also had Pliny, no idea if they still do.
