As a 1:1 for either of those Bruery bottles, not both. How close/off is that? Already planning out the futures of my DL bottles this year...

Grey Monday is much easier to get, though it sells $40 a bottle. You probably have to add to your dark lord or find someone with GM who really wants a dark lord. I think a new batch of GM goes on sale in June, so you may want to wait until then to increase your chances.

How many bottles of Dark Lord are they selling this year?

1:1 with either of those? No. They both were $40 versus $15 and there's way more Dark Lord available each year than either of those. Grey Monday's bottle count will most likely be higher this year than last year, but I am not sure by how much. I don't think it will be anywhere near the amount of Dark Lord bottles.

Since you'll get diabeeetus drinking any of these 3 bottles (although I've never had Mocha Wednesday), you might as well save yourself the trouble of packing and shipping and just drink your Dark Lord.

Anyway, to be a bit more helpful, I think the Dark Lord bottle counts run upwards of 15,000 so it's not like it's rarer than the Bruery stuff. I think if you found someone who wanted 2 DL's for their Bruery beer, it's possible, and more possible if you add some decent +'s.

Sweet, thanks for the advice. As far as I know, they haven't released the allotment number yet for the DL this year.

Do you think I could get it done if I evened out the $4$ with some sort of locals like Bodhi growlers? I completely forgot those bottles were $40 when I posted this, by the way...

Haha, I plan on getting my fill, don't worry!

As an example, there were close to 24,000 bottles of 2011 Dark Lord. Grey Monday and Mocha Wednesday bottles counts don't even scratch that number from almost 3 years ago.

Gotcha. I tried checking bottle counts on those two but couldn't find the numbers. Didn't realize it traded so high. I traded Bodhi and Creeper growlers $4$ for a Chocolate Rain recently, thought maybe that value was somewhat even for the others.

Mocha Wednesday trades quite high right now. Grey Monday trades higher than Chocolate Rain.

Last year, Grey Monday was 8 per Hoarders member (of which there were about 350) and 4 per Reserve member (of which there were about 1,500), so that's 8,800 bottles - call it 10,000 bottles to be conservative - in the hands of fewer than 2,000 people. Mocha Wednesday was 8 per Hoarders member this year, of which there are 447, so that's 3,576 bottles in the hands of 447 people (ignoring those who split memberships). Contrast Dark Lord, which I'm pretty sure has been around 3-4 bottles per person with over 6,000 people in attendance for a couple years now.

But these are just objective facts and have nothing to do with trade value, good luck either way.

Cool, thanks. Guess I'll have to work on putting a strong package together!
