How many beers do you drink a week?

I seriously try to limit myself during the weekdays. Never less than 2 a week and never more than 12 (unless I go out on the weekend, which is becoming a rarity). I don't like how drinking before work makes me feel in the morning. Not to mention, craft beer is an expensive hobby and I'd like to keep myself from spending unreasonable amounts of money.

 

14-16 beers a week!

 

30-40. Not saying that is appropriate but surprised by how many on here under the 15 mark.

 

This thread makes me feel like a serious alcoholic... I drink about 2-6 good beers a night, totally depends on how I feel. In the past I've drank MUCH more than this. I'm glad those days are over!

I'm with ya on that one. I drink 2-4/day, so anywhere from 14 - 28/week, usually on the higher side. An alcoholic? I don't think so; doesn't mess with work, grad school, or a social life. Perhaps a bit heavy for my body, but I'm mid-twenties, so I have some time to recover.

 

With an average abv of 7% and an average daily consumption of 4-5 12oz servings.
28-35 is an average sampling of an average week. But that's what works for me, and I would never disparage anyone else who has a different way about it.

 

Zero at home. 2-3 at a local craft beer spot

 

9: 1/day weekdays, 2/day weekends.

 

I bounce around 30+/- 5 (american)units of alcohol a week.

 

wow. from what you guys are saying, i drink too much. after work i have about six beers, usually brews by great lakes. on days off ive had more than 18 beers. even more when me and my bro hang out. when chillwave came out i drank 3 four packs in a row. too much? maybe i need to cut it back. holy ish! 2012 this thread is old!

 

Heh, I'm actually the exact opposite. I worked out for 15 minutes? Looks like I can treat myself to a bunch of beer because calories burned or something...

 

Member since July 2011...and THIS is your first and only post, 3 years later? Um....

 

I find a 22 oz. bomber or 750 ml growler a night works pretty well with usually one night off during the week. Some nights just a 12 oz. bottle or 16 oz can is just right, other nights a 1 liter growler fill fits the bill nicely. Also depends on the ABV.

 

Get back to us when you have more than a year of legal drinking time under your belt.

 

i try to keep it at 10. that's one a day on work nights and 2 on weekends.

let's not kid ourselves here, folks. most of the beers we drink would be considered 2 beers by our doctors.

 

i'm 39, and 30 beers in a week would kill me. not literally, but i'd wish i were dead.

 

I'm pushing 50 and it has no effect on me.

 

The Top 250 beer list is starting to make some sense.

...the vast majority of the beers I drink are between 3 and 5.5% ABV.

 

I drink 8 a week on average. I usually have one nice beer each weeknight and maybe 2 on Sunday.
