So having Surly Abrasive after a bit and once again it is the best I have had in, well, forever anyone else agree...

It's a top notch DIPA, no doubt. Still think the top for me so far is Odell Myrcenary. Just fits my tastes very well.

For me it's the best smelling DIPA, but not the best tasting one. But that's just, like, my opinion, man.

I've never had it but have heard it is totally overhyped and completely sucks...

By the way ISO: Surly Abrasive & Furious

Seriously near the top of the list of wanted brews to trade for. Anyone in Minnesota who is interested in Zombie Dust & other FFF brews, I'll be looking to set up a trade in a week or two.

Abrasive is definately a great beer. I have a friend who gets it for me when it's fresh and it never sits around long enough to get malty.

There are many great IPAs out there, but Furious is just fantastic.

abrasive is my favorite dipa. its one of a few beers that took me by surprise and blew me away. so much so last time i had some its all i could think about while i was at work, knowing it was in the fridge. same effect with heady topper. plus it fits perfectly in my sn imperial pint glass

I look forward to trying some Surly someday. I always hear about how Abrasive is very... abrasive and I really like that feeling. So far the most abrasive one I've had is Moylan's Hopsickle, is Abrasive similar to that?

abrasive is much much better, id say it aligns more closely to double trouble.

Damn, alright. I don't know if an IPA can be "much much better" to me personally, as Hopsickle is easily in my top 5 for the style, but now I'm definitely gonna be trying some Abrasive soon!

us being in the west coast it takes a lot for an ipa to stand out, and this guy stands out. unfortunately the last canning i believe was in late feb, so to taste its true greatness youll have to try it fresh next dec-feb (although ill bet its still tastin good)

While I agree that Abrasive is great, Heady and Hop Slam are better. Pliny (Younger and Elder) is also better than Abrasive by a slight margin, imo.

As a homer, I'd have to say I'd rather have a my first love, Furious. But I'd never turn down a fresh Abrasive. The new Bandwagon IPA available at Target Field is also top-shelf.

I think Furious has more perceived malt than Abrasive does, but that's me.

Well, on the flip side both beers blew me away. I remember taking that first sip of Furious and it was an immediate love affair.....same with Abrasive.

I'm confused-It is your opinion or it's like your opinion ?
