From Norm's Facebook page this afternoon:

"Ok, it looks like KBS will be delivered this week; our normal delivery day for Founder's is Thursday, April 3rd; that's how it stands as of now. We don't know what time the truck arrives, but will try to post ASAP on Facebook and Twitter when it's here. First come, first served, no holds or telephone sales please.

    CORRECTION: It's a 30L keg, so you'll have at least 90 10oz pours (or 180 5oz pours)

I was checking the website out, looks like a very cool place! And in a good 'hood for beers (Top Hops, Good Beer, Whole Foods Bowery, etc.). Would love to pay a visit for this tapping, I can probably split from work a bit early!

even better! thanks for all the info

For those in the metro Philly area, here's what I've learned (ugh): most places including big stores like Wegmans are selling 2 bottles at best. Distribution is way down from the past as (probably) Founders going wider with distribution across the country has not (understandably) been able to produce an equally larger amount of KBS.
I just paid $16 for two bottles in Center City and that's about the best you'll find. Hard facts but it's just not worth any more money or driving, IMO.

people, people, stay on topic, this is about KEGS being TAPPED. there are 5 billion other threads about where to buy bottles (or not to buy bottles, as it were) :-)

    Cheers!

It will either be tapped first thing or for happy hour (5pm).

I don't have event details yet.

Kbs kicked in 14min at fireworks. The guy pouring the majority was not a bartender and pouring half foam glasses and pulling on the tap constantly to finish each glass making more foam. Still pretty crowded here

Goodness gracious...that's insane. Even with bad pour technique, the crowd there had to be ridiculous.

I imagine it to be like the unruly hoards of people you see outside of Wal-Mart right before the doors open on Black Friday, except multiply the number of beards and butthurt in the crowd by ten.

How the hell did I not hear about this? And how does that place keep getting rare kegs like that? I couldn't believe it when they got the Cinnamon Wake-n-Bake.

Damn you guys get boned. Jersey got double the amount we did last year and I bought my bottles today for $5.99 and $6.99.

If you're only able to buy two bottles, there's not much difference between 6-8 dollars per.
