Live in Michigan, going to Cedar Point and wondering which stores would have the best chance of having something good and not sold in Michigan. Piccolo's and Bayshore are reviewed but someone said the former was closed or moved. Any help is appreciated.

I grew up in Port Clinton, which you'll pass on the way. 5 minutes off Rt 2 you can go to Bassett's IGA, which has a decent selection:

...or stop at a good store in Toledo on your way is what I'd do.

I'd happily take recommendations for Toledo as well, preferably close to the expressway (I80 to 275 to 75)

There are two The Andersons in Toledo, and both locations have received very favorable comments in these threads. I've been to the one on the NW side of town (a few miles west of where US-23 comes into I-475), but not the other store. I think I can recall comments that it is fairly convenient to the Interstate but I don't know which one.

If you're taking I80 I'd recommend the Anderson's in Maumee. It is a short drive from the Reynolds Road exit.

Thanks guys, ended up "The Andersons" just east of 280 in the Woodville mall plaza. Great regular beer selection. Ended up with some BP Sculpin, Monk's Blood, Kentucky Bourbon Ale, Yeti, Weyerbacher Tiny, Troeg's Nugget Nectar, Left Hand Milk Stout, Green Flash Imperial IPA and some Chimay Blue (at $11, couldn't pass up).

Damn, I wish they'd open an Anderson's location in NE Ohio...Avon Lake, just north of I-90 between route 83 and Jaycox would be perfect, just cleared the land for it.
