Just bought Chai Dog and Mint Truffle yesterday. Bought the Chai for no reason other than the description. Perfect combination of ingredients.

It may be over done but a barrel-aged Chai Dog, minus the vanilla that's added since you will get some vanilla flavor from the aging process, would be killer

You're high. Beer is always better with at least some carbonation. You can package it with less than typical carbonation and if people don't like it they can swirl and wait until it's mostly all gone. Besides beer straight from the barrel will oxidize so fast.

 

Good point, shelf life would be short.

What about a tap takeover type event? The straight to bottle could be served there. Fresh as ish

@Pipeworks are you still planning on doing a second release of the three BA bottles for FwB members? I haven't searched back through the threads/pages, but I recall you saying there would be a second wave released and held in FwBs' names.

There's plenty of MTA around the NW Burbs still. Binny's in Bloomingdale had at least 10 bottles on Monday night. Armenetti's in Roselle, and Foremost in Arlington Heights each had 5-6 bottles last night. (I was out hunting KBS...no luck, but at least I came away with some PW intel.) If you strike out in the city, I could goandpickitupforyoubro.

Did the last batch of Chai Dog not have vanilla in it?

 

It may have, I'm just pumped up for the current batch

 

How's the chai spice flavor in it for this batch? I missed the first batch and I'll probably grab a bottle anyway sometime this week. I love cardamom so I'm hoping that is a pronounced flavor.
