I was spending a few hundred a month there a year back then he told me he was getting KBS...when I asked when it was coming in he said "You have to spend big bucks in here to get KBS"...never shopped there again!

Beer on Beer crime. What a shame. My rug was also stolen.

This is why I don't go around wasting time and gas trying to find this stuff. I'd rather walk into a store and grab a bottle of Big Bad Baptist off the shelf. Not nearly the bourbon kick as KBS, but it's a nice replacement.

Same for me. CBS was the last beer I actively spent my afternoon tracking down and actually stood at Weiland's for like an hour and half waiting for it to get there. After that day, I promised to never to do it again--ESPECIALLY for likely what will be a single bottle. There's something about knowing that I could walk into GE Market District right now and take BB Siberian Night and Wulver right off the shelf.

I have 2 shops that I frequent that I'll try and snag a bottle from but I've also pretty much given up on the KBS single bottle chase as well. If it was a Saturday release...sure, I'd probably burn some gas and time, but not on a weekday with work and all. Having KBS a few times a year on draft is plenty for me. I drank around 30 ounces last night. Met some cool people who I'm sure I'll see again. Jah provides.

The amount of hype and attention this beer gets is ridiculous. Glad I find it tastes like green bell peppers and cheap booze ...no stress or hassle.

I wonder if said white van could be found parked in the back of Savor?

    I kid, I kid.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this (very reaffirming to know that I'm not crazy :astonished:). The last batch of BBB I tried (#25?) was divine. It had that same, intense, rich, coffee-and-dark-chocolate flavor that KBS has (minus the barrel character). I've had 4 bottles of it and will probably drive back into Cincinnati tomorrow to see if there's any more.

You should have asked if that's the case, in the future can you just send an email months in advance and it would be reserved for you.

I wasn't going to throw a fit over beer I"ll just be sure to let everyone know that's how they operate their beer department and for others to give their business to the other Columbus whole foods that treat their customers better

Whole Food Lane was a joke. As one other poster said...they said 3pm and started passing out at 2:30pm.

I had good luck at Giant Eagle MD-Kingsdale and got a 4 pack
