The great thing about Tribes (both locations) is that when they do special tappings it's open to all, providing you can get there before it runs out. Last night, for example, they had Three Floyds/Surly collab Blakkr as the special tapping, and that was flowing well into the night.

Worst case - if that happens and you miss out - you get to choose from any of the other 45+ taps of outstanding beer, so you still win....

Being in Illinois and the burbs, they have a GREAT bourbon menu, too. This is my long lost heaven.

Someday I'll make it to Tribes. Neither is close, living in Palatine. Nellies has a good taplist at least.

Bison burgers !!!.. I prefer Mokena because it's closer, small and quaint.. But at the same time Tinley is nice too because of size and more beer selection

While I frequent both - and I'm about equal distance from either - I do prefer the Mokena vibe.

Is the vibe at either place skewing more towards younger people (20-30?)

Can't meet for the KBS, just checked out calendar but the Sucaba I'm in for. Sounds like we have a bottle share gathering that's brewing

Tinley is larger, so by default it is likely to skew more in that age range - just by volume.
I'm well beyond that age group and I never feel like I'm crashing the kiddie pool at either location.

I was in Mokena last night and it was packed - combo of families, 20-30ish types, "older" beer dudes (hello, my name is Pointyskull), etc...

I'm 25 but definitely prefer an older crowd. People my age are friggin unruly

    Bottles and Cans

KBS will be released on Saturday 4/6 at Noon!!!

This will be done Lottery style so no need to line up early. We open at 11am so come by anytime before Noon to get your free lottery ticket.

We received 1 case, so the limit will be 1 bottle per person ($5.99 per bottle).

We will open two of the bottles for free tastings, and we will of course dig into our cellar and find a few other treats to open (Disclaimer, this will NOT be as extensive as the Bourbon County tasting!!!).

In total, 20 bottles will be raffled (2 for the tasting, 2 for us to open at future tastings, 20 for sale)

See you all Saturday! Thanks Everyone!!!

Bottles and Cans is very transparent with exactly what they are doing with each and every bottle. Take note, Capones!
