Cool. I might've gone out there to get more if I'd known. Backwoods Bastard didn't stick around west Cook and east DuPage very long, except as $8 singles at a few places.

It is significantly less than BCBS in Chicago. In Chicago, nearly every single store, big and small, 7-11, walgreens, and food truck got at least a case. I was able to buy a case straight up from a no name liquor store that had all bmc beers and like 1 6 pack of old 312. There are even the occasional 4 packs still out there on the shelf.

For KBS, unless you were a fairly big account, you didnt get more than a case, and all that is already gone.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one who thought the same thing. What's up with that? After drinking KBS last night, I was like 90% impressed with it. I have to say this, "BCBS + Black Note > KBS."

Next time I smoke meat, I'm going to try KBS and BCBS side by side. See wtf is up

Last year I liked BCBCS way more than KBS. By a long shot. BCBCS was way more coffee, more booze, more everything. I was very underwhelmed when KBS came out. So muted by comparison. This year I've completely flip flopped. KBS is a much more drinkable beer. I think it is really delicious. And has more of a chocolate note to it. I actually preferred the 2013 to the 2014 at the KBS release at Founders. Most people seemed to think the opposite.

Fresh BC is simply too boozy for my current tastes.

Do you sip the beer or drink it relatively rapid?

Cool story, bro. But the beer being talked about was Backwoods Bastard, not KBS. :sunglasses:

Sip. And I'm a big fan of bourbon/rye/scotch neat. I'm just enjoying KBS more than BC right now.
