I'm always curious as to how many guys find out about this site and then only use it to find out about what beers are the best and most limited and then chase the truck out of it.

Trolls: chasing the truck out of it.
    Or;
Trolls: putting the "F.U." in fun for limited releases.

Clearing out a store is pretty much what everyone would do given the chance. I cleared it out so it doesn't end up in the wrong hands. Aka people trying to make a profit or horde it all to themselves. Anyone in town who knows me...knows that I constantly bring bottles out to local establishments etc for people to try for free. Plus I trade it for stuff out west we can't get. However...reserving the entire store so no one who is available has a chance...yes that's wrong. Especially if you haven't been the 2 days it's been available. That should be free game.

Whatever idiot paid off some guy at abc to get a case would undoubtedly snatch every one He can get his hands on....

Having a hard time understanding how you are any different than the hoarder that "signed up" to be a hoarder?

So your hands aren't the "wrong hands" because you use some of your stash to leverage with other hoarders to get some of their limited release stash? And that's better? I'm all for sharing though...

    Asking for a friend...

There was no allotment. Someone obviously paid some off to hold it for them so nobody had a chance. Against store rules. I don't cellar. Everything is given or drank with friends...

I see where what I said could be misunderstood. But how would you feel walking into a store to buy a 4 pack only to find that one person...the same person who probably took all the bcbcs has one again claimed all to a reserve list that doesn't exist. Had the stores done what they were supposed to I wouldn't have snatched a whole bunch...but given that they were claimed and friends are struggling to get one bottle... I made damn sure they will get some. Cheers :astonished:

Unfortunately, I don't think he is. This is the new norm for "craft beer enthusiast" Grab all the whalez and try and make shitty trades for other whalez. (ISO Fou Foune FT: KBS x1)

No, No they would not. In fact many of us, myself included, don't buy as much as they have. Example: I bought 1 bottle of KBS on wednesday at a 1 limit store and then found a 2 limit on friday where I only bought 1 more. I really don't need more than 2 right now and I'd rather let other people get some.

You're right you are so not hoarding. Clearing out a store never constitutes hoarding. Buying up loads of Hunahpu when other people wait in line for hours for their 3 bottle limit could never constitute hoarding. You sir are exactly the right hands to place rare beer into. (Please reread this entire Paragraph in sarcasm font).

But buying the store out so nobody has a change is all fair game. I see so its wrong to prevent others from buying it by reserving it but preventing others by buying it all is ok... Nope wait you lost me right there.

No not really you're just wrong and the entire problem with craft beer right now. You are doing exactly what you say not to do and the whole buy up all the KBS is really not a cool move.

I didn't have a chance to buy a case of KBS and I wouldn't if I did. I bought my allotted two bottles and was perfectly happy with that. I did however have a chance to walk away with a near case of BCBCS(one 4 pack missing) back on Black Friday at a less traveled store. Had more than enough money to do it too(for once in my life), and I still took one 4 pack and left the rest for other lucky beer fan to come across. Of course, I'm sure some jackass walked in 5 minutes later a bought the remainder of the case. My faith in beer karma keeps me from being that guy.

First off...I went through the hunahpu twice...very easily..I followed the rules...even sold hunas *at the same price* to people who didn't get any. If you didn't get your hunas it was indeed your own fault. A lot of people jumped in line to get their 3 bottles when cases already started to be sold.

2nd....a lot of people would snatch all they can. Ever see the forum post about posting your latest haul....might want to check that one out.

3rd....you are not supposed to be able to reserve shit at abc due to such limited quantities. He effectively created a scenario where NOONE but him had a chance. He claimed it all...he didn't wait in line. He didn't follow rules. If you can't see the fucked up situation in that your blind. I would feel guilty if I was going to cellar it...but I don't have one and I know this stuff will drank immediately and minor amounts traded to get maybe a sucaba..which we don't get.

Lastly If by me snatching up beers to share with others is ruining the beer community then I guess I'm glad not to be apart of it.

Kudos to you sir..but here in the small town of ocala...we didn't even get to see bcbcs...why? Because it never hit the floor...it was gone before it was even seen.

Btw I'm almost 100% positive the guy who "reserved" all the kbs was the same guy who on my previous post was trolling people walking out of gators in gville offering them $50 a bottle.

Ryman, the problem people have with your posts in this thread is simple, you say it's unfair to reserve a case, but in the immediately prior post you mention how you clear out a store.

Basically, you are complaining about not being able to clear out two stores. Some people didn't get a single bottle dude, so no one is going to show you sympathy. They lose out because of people like you.

It wouldn't be bad if you owned up to it though, and admitted it was selfish to clear out a store. Instead you justify this practice as some sort of heroic activity that benefits the craft beer community, lest some would-be profiteer take them all himself.

Just own up, you buy as much as you can so you and your beer circle friends can all trade each other the rarest shit around, and revel in the glory of your special beer. In reality you are doing little more than perpetuate a small circle of people who buy up as much special release beer as they can.

That and lying about Hunahpu day is just low. Many people waited in line for a long period of time and were pushed around and didn't move and never got bottles... Writing it off as if they were lazy and didn't get in line until after 4 is simply incorrect.

First off did I ever reveal how much *clearing* out the store was...lol. I kept that tidbit to see how many people would jump on the hate train. As such I see both sides. Next time I'll just stand by while one dude clears out both stores unfairly

As such I don't want to spam this post. If you live in Ocala and your name isn't Dave. Your welcome to grab some kbs from me.
