The previously had Hangar 24, so it's not unprecedented. But getting a guest from Redlands is quite different from getting one from Munster, Indiana.

quote from the Sucreversary email states that "Attendees will have the opportunity to taste myriad beer offerings from The Bruery as well as other favorite SoCal craft brewers." so, probably not 3 Floyds.

See above, 3 Floyds beers were slated to be at the Out of the Park event on Apr 27.

I meant that they could be past the fermentation stage since it has been bottled and they could've decided to let it condition longer.

If money is changing hands, bitching is a fundamental right, IMO.

Yeah, I don't really mean local guys. I'd love to see a taplist like Dark Lord Day or (RIP) Hunahpu Day.

Right, sorry. They probably meant conditioning. But that's not the point. It was that the beer just wasn't quite ready. No need to freak about infection just because it hasn't been released yet. It's still only April 7th.

Yes, they had it at the Embroidery pickup event and it was delicious.

in the society welcome mail don't they address the fact that they are not always sure when some beers will be ready for release etc.. ? people act like they are trying actively fuck us over or something. every time the Bruery has made a mistake they've always made good on it. we're all going to get a bunch of awesome beer this year. seems like a reason to be happy

You are correct. But if you do what bruery does, outline a proposed release schedule, and you don't meet it, you should say why and when the likely release is. I didn't even want an apology, just upfront communication. Saying nothing is basically a fuck you. I shouldn't have to ask why you didn't meet the proposed release, it should have been in the first sentence of the email which was sent out.

Bruery continues to be notoriously poor at communicating things upfront. Do they eventually make a statement? Yes, but they haven't learned that the easiest way to fix an issue is to never let it happen to begin with. Eventually I expect to see Patrick or somebody in this thread addressing the infection issues, but that will only be after other people are openly discussing it and the Bruery feels they MUST make a statement. Then again, considering they just copied/pasted the Bois description for Sucre I guess I shouldn't expect much as far as communication goes.

So then can we address the fact that the only thing Bruery has done that isn't on the release calendar is move Bourbon Sucre up a month? The calendar says Rue D'Floyd - April. That's it. And we're still in April for another couple weeks. You're reacting to an assumption you've made that April release means first week. As they clearly state, Barrel aged beers tell us when they are ready, so keep in mind any stated release dates are estimates only.

IIRC, both Tripel Tonnellerie and White Oak were originally slated for March.

and FrogOut has a point re: infection rumours. If the Bruery would just tell us that a specific beer isn't ready, but is still scheduled for release, they could prevent this type of stuff from even starting.

Your whiney posts full of bizarre and idiosyncratic expectations of how the Bruery should go about vacuuming up your money are best read in the voice of Milton from "Office Space".
