heading out there next month and was wondering if theres any bottle shops between LAX and the bruery that are cant miss bottle shops?
Stearns is in Long Beach just off of the 405 freeway Mr K's is literally a block from the Bruery and is one of the better liquor stores around
i think BeerAdvocate needs a map function / combined with the place feature. it would be like a google map and locations would pop up, and they'd be reviewed etc. this dude could look at a map and see pinned shops, see the reviews. in any given city people could look at a map, see shit, find beer. could see what the highest rated places are etc. self guided could possibly alleviate these daily queries just an idea
Agreed, search isn't really useful when you need to type in the actual city, area code, or zip code and it wont even consider nearby matches.
can't get it to load i figured there might be something like this out there. but would be cool to have a BA one, that links to reviewed places on here. then you could sift by beer store / beer bar / brewery etc. scroll over it and see what the rating is
that's strange. i think because i zoomed in on a certain area, it added some crap at the end of the address which i then copied. try this more direct link: http://beermapping.com/maps/citymaps.php?m=losangeles
what do you know. pretty cool. that's pretty much exactly what i was thinking, except with info from BA. maybe i've seen this before and am unconsciously ripping it off
yeah, i think i saw this about a year ago? i actually forgot about it until you just described it, lol
And here's one (just for breweries, but it covers the entire state) I use when roaming far from home, but still in Cali. http://www.californiacraftbeer.com/who-we-are/brewery-map/
that one's cool. the other one could be cool if people reviewed the places. there's no way to tell if something is good or not. if BA created one that plugged in the place thing that would be pretty kwl
Good one, thanks, saved as a favorite. Though it's missing some spots, for example Hollister in Goleta, Figeuroa Mountain in Santa Barbara, etc. Probably others based on that, but still solid. I agree a map option with the BA database would be preferable. The information is there, but it does take some research the way it is now. For the OP. There are many, just depends how far North, South of your route your willing to go on your trek from LAX to the Bruery.
