So, I'm about 3/4's of the way through 'The Drawing of the Dark' by Tim Powers (well worth a read if you enjoy fantasy/historical fiction/mythology), and beer has a very central role in the story. Any other works of fictions out there that highlights beer? If so, please share.
The Lord of The Rings/The Hobbit series are full of things about beer as Tolkien himself was a passionate beer lover.
'B is for beer' is not the best thing Tom Robbins has done but it is a very fun read and has some great beer facts/info etc. w/a reference to,if i remember right, the Red hook Brewery among others...so far,i think 'Still Life With Woodpecker' is his best novel....cheers!

KBS and Heady Topper reviews on this site are chockful of the kind of fantasy you find on truck stop toilet stalls and fanboi fiction.
I listed a few novels in which breweries play a part here http://zythophile.wordpress.com/2010/04/16/mr-du-boung-the-brewer/
KBSPTSD needs to be written. A troubled beer veteran dreams every night- ala Groundhog Day- that KBS can be acquired at any time. When reality sets in, the horror of the actual chase for these bottlings sets in. Please, no one take offense.
