Rodman's in DC tweeted they got a case today, 1 bottle limit. I'm not going to make it up there, so I figured I'd share the news.

I can't correct you with actual facts, but this seems low to me. NYC alone got at least 8 cases.

Yeah... I can think of at least 8 bars/shops in NYC alone that had full cases of Black Note and those are the ones that have sold it already...

Right I think all of the Whole Foods got 1 case each; that's more than 8 cases right there.

Station House in Forest Hills apparently has bottles of Black Note (and Evil Twin Bourbon Barrel-Aged Biscotti Break) which they will be selling at 7PM tonight. Very limited quantity.

Holy shit, that's like Beer Table Pantry bought the bottles from Bierkraft and then resold them.

BA Biscotti still available at WF Chelsea for $24.99, BTW.

In Minnesota I got BN at more than 1/2 dozen stores
Only one was 7.99 the rest 6.99 and even 5.99. At 16 bucks I would at least expect a reach around. BN is in my top 5 all time an I wouldn't pay that much.

Came and went at TW Mclean at some point this week. They said it lasted all of 10 minutes.

Not sure if I'm just getting slower at this game or they're getting faster...

They are getting faster. All these little punks who barely know beer just want to chase the truck to get rare stuff. Too much of daddy's money and free time means we can't keep up lol

Is this really the case? I am not denying these "little punks" exist, I just have never personally met one or witnessed their shenanigans. Is this issue unique to the DC/NoVA area? I moved here in August and am shocked at how cutthroat limited release beers are. I just attributed it to the demographics of the area, but maybe there is more to it.

I just chalked it up to how more people are getting into craft beer in the last couple years especially in this area. Even the crappy bars in the area will have some local stuff on tap. But there certainly are people who truck chase and bring their friends to get more (especially at Norm's).

What's interesting is that the black note was alive for 2+ days at the TW's other than Mclean, so I assume someone their alerted their friends when it came in.

    And yes, the internets
