I have a kegerator for my homebrew but am thinking of tossing a chalkboard up on the wall behind it to write what I have on tap at the time. I was hoping to find something where I could put my "Brewery Name" on it and a couple other words/designs. I am not artistic what so ever so drawing something up on my own really isnt in the cards here.

    Thanks in advance!

I've seen a few both through google search and ebay but they run 50 - 80 bucks a pop. Maybe pick up a plain framed one
and stencil your Brewery name on it.

Check out chalkboard paint. From what I have used it works very well. Paint the area you want and frame it with some baseboard trim.
Another option that I think looks great is finding an old cabinet door and just painting the middle flat part with the chalkboard paint leaving a nice looking frame. I will see if I can find a picture for you.

Edit: Searched google and here's a link to what I was referring to, someone sells them on etsy I guess.

I used chalkboard paint on my Keezer build directly on the chest freezer. I love the customizability... check out my avatar.

We used chalkboard paint for one of our walls in our kitchen. It works great. We also put a few coats of magnetic paint paint under the chalkboard paint. It's just metal filings in the paint basically, but magnets stick to the wall. You can paint an area and frame it out if you don't want to do the whole wall.

Craft stores sell wooden letters in all sizes. You can hot glue those to any chalkboard frame. We made a friend of ours 2 small framed chalkboards with "Tap 1" and "Tap 2" on them with those letters. Super easy.

That's pretty cool! What exactly did you have to do to get the taps mounted? I assume scrape insulation out of the top and install a block of wood to mount them to?
