Most winter warmers, beers with a strong vanilla taste, fruit beers that are sweet, and SESSION IPAs! Give me a good pale ale any day, even if it's an extra percent ABV - Founders, Stone, Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada, & others all make excellent, best in style pales that have so much more flavor, balance, and body than their new sessions.

Any beer with chili peppers or curry.

Belgian Tripels! Tastes like stale, found under your seat, bubble gum. Belgian Quads on the other hand, superb!

Most smoked beers taste like antiseptic.

Most American craft IPAs are undrinkable swill.

Saisons and all matter of Belgians. They're not for me.

Have not yet found any, other than many macros.
The pepper beers would likely to turn me off though.
    Love most Belgians.

I'm surprised to see so many people cite Belgian styles as their least favorite. Bocks, barley wines and brown ales are the styles I tend to shy away from.

    Brown Ales
Sahti and/or Gruit (simliar to my palate given that they use twigs and leaves instead of hops)
Rauchbier (although I've had multiple smoked beers that I've liked--maybe that's splitting hairs?)
    Nitro beers

Edit: I'm a little surprised that so many people are able to list so many different fairly widespread styles. I thought there would be more people like myself, who have a decent appreciation for most styles.

If you rule out ANY style, you deprive yourself of great beers and great surprises. I absolutely PROMISE YOU that, in any style you named, there is a beer out there that you would DEARLY love, if you tasted broadly enough to find it. I think it's great that people DO rule out entire styles, though. More for the rest of us...

Which ones have you had that led you to this opinion? I would say that certainly all IPAs are not made equally, but I wouldn't say most of them are "undrinkable swill."

I tend to want to try beers of any style, but I really can't get into beers on nitro. Haven't had a good nitro beer yet, maybe it will change, but I doubt it.

basically every smoked beer I have had has tasted like antiseptic. Only if the smoked malt is a *tiny* percentage of the grain bill - like, under 1% - do I avoid the medicinal quality.

Basically every craft American IPA I have tried has had an overwhelmingly crushing bitterness that makes me gag and want to brush my teeth. I find them generally to be so grossly unbalanced that they become as enjoyable as a visit to the dentist. There may well be an exception to this rule out there, but I find them so overwhelmingly unpleasant that I don't even bother trying any more.

    To each their own, basically.

Barleywine that is over 12%. Mikkeller worster was the hottest garbage I've ever tasted. 17% is overboard. Drink a damn scotch. Bigfoot 2014 is a perfect, and I mean perfect barleywine. Chicken Killer is solid. Mikkeller stop being my favorite twin after making worster. Read the name and move on.

I have not, but if its comparable to Yazoo Sue I wont be a fan. I didnt even like founders smoked porter and i always give them the benefit of the doubt. i guess its just not meant to be.
