Happenings in Casper

They concentrate mainly on brews from WY and mostly non packaged brews. The Abyss and Celebration being current exceptions.

Casper got none of the Bourbon County's.

 

The last time a keg of it showed up was in February.

 

765's of Matilda and Sophie showed up. I had to grab a couple of Sophies...$8.99 each. And...some more Orval, of course.

 

Avery Old Jubilation and Green Flash Green Bullet have shown up on the shelf at Liquor Shed. Ha. I drank a bottle of each back to back. Not a good idea.

 

Goose Island Pepe Nero and Pere Jacques 4 packs are here now.

I just got the word from Jacob at Liquor Shed. He's getting 2 small kegs of Deschutes Stoic and Mirror Mirror! Youzza!

New in town, brews from Upslope, the latest edition of Trout Hop and Lazy Marmot from Grand Teton, and Avery's Collaboration not Litigation.

And, I had to grab a Growler of Snake River's AK Session...English Dark Mild, 3.9% abv.

While I was in the store, BA member Jacob, the beer guy at the store, handed me a box full of brews as a good gesture for my giving him a couple of Thomas Hardys. Great Karma all around!

 

Bottles of Deschutes Mirror Mirror showed up. $16.20 per at one store and I GRABBED 4 bottles.

 

Liquor Shed got 3 cases in and I saw another case, at least, at 2nd ST Discount Liquors and, I'm sure Poplar Wine & Spirits got their share in. What can I say? Deschutes LOVES me and I LOVE Deschutes.

Times are getting so much better in Casper and in WY in general.

 

There is a LOT of MM in town at 3 stores. I grabbed the last Friek a long time ago; I haven't seen the newest release in Casper yet.

 

Next Wednesday the 23rd, Patrick Dawson will be in town promoting his book, Vintage Beer, at the Liquor Shed. Educating some of the beer drinkers in Casper aboot cellarable brews...heck yes!

 

So, the beer seminar on Vintage beers at the Liquor Shed, held by Patrick Dawson, was a big hit! The guy KNOWS his stuff and I think a lot of his knowledge rubbed off on the attendees big time. We had side by side samplers of BigFoot 2014 vs 2011, and 2011 vs, gawd, I think it was 2013 Rogue DIPA. It's easier to do side by sides when you're sharing, eh?

Anywho, I bought the book and I'll be reading, yes reading, for the first time in way too long. Cheers!
