I really doubt it. I wasn't there but heard it was a very busy release.

Really? They put on a keg of AFTW there? Haven't seen that on tap in some time...

Hmmmm.... may need to modify my weekend plans (which until now, did not include a trip up to PDX).

The new batch of AftW went on after the brandy cherry fred blew last Sunday. For those wondering, it is quite good, but very young compared to the AftW we have been enjoying over the last couple years.

Very understandable. I still remember how disappointed I was with the fresh bottles of AFTW when it was first released several years back. It was still good, but just not as incredible as I remembered from having it on tap at the tasting room.

Thanks for the info regarding how long it's been on though. Sounds like I probably need to call the tasting room to make sure it's still pouring before driving up from Eugene tomorrow.

(currently, bottles of AFTW are nothing short of incredible. IMHO.)

I'll head there today at some point and try to see how much is left and give an opinion also.
Also heading to imperial bottle shop to try the breakside imperial apricot sour

I agree. A bit young, lots of fresh oak, and ffinishes with cocoa, nice. The leather that Adam has evolved is subdued by the oak, which is nice. Yum.

    Edit:
Asked about how much is left, they said don't know, it has been on since Tuesday, and has been very popular . The brandy Fred lasted a while because they had 2 kegs...

    Also, it's $12, not the typical $9.

Also, breakside should be ashamed for calling this apricot sour... a sour. What a disappointment. Not to mention the club. Wtf is going on with it? de garde was like half the price, and we have gotten so much more already.

I was a bit surprised it was 12. Panapooch was 9 and Imo is better. But none the less I really enjoyed it. Been a good year so far at hotd. We need a hatd thread!

We do. And I was surprised also. Alan doesn't update enough, and I don't get there every week... Though I should.
