I'll recommend RoughTail's 1st Anniversary Ale - a DIPA bottled 4/1. Get it while it's fresh. It really surprised me. Actually RoughTail has plenty of solid offerings: Polar Night Stout, Rock Tsar, IPA, Split Decision. The Anniversary Ale just stood out - smells incredible and the taste follows suit. And if you're a home brewer, a bonus, the recipe is on the label.

Anyone know if this Cherry Funk, and the Apricot Funk announced earlier today, are actually coming to Texas? Can we get a confirmation on this, @chaseabeer ?

Blend them and make Chapricot. I will only charge 3 cases for the use of that intellectual property.

    Three cases of each, naturally.

There are way more places to get Prairie in Oklahoma than what that map shows.

I thought the 1st Anniversary was damn good as well. I only bought one bottle because it was the only one left in the store. I like that all their year-rounders are 16oz cans too. They're definitely headed in the right direction.

Next beer to hit up there is Jazz Millions , a farmhouse IPA... Hits later this week I believe. Have heard Funky Gold Mosaic will be next... Not sure when the funks are scheduled to be released.

If you can keep a secret the next couple months could get a little funky in TX! Also, quick clarification. ...Prairie kept distribution rights for OK, TX, and AR, while Shelton handles the rest of the world. Cheer!!

just a heads up. oklahoma vendors were just allowed this week to place orders for cherry funk. im not sure about the rest of you in texas, but i would rather spend a day driving back and forth over the border and grab as many as i want. rather than drive around DFW all day and snag MAYBE a half a case. already have multiple cases being held for this and the funky gold mosaic. happy hunting!

@stephens101 I'm 21 and I feel like an old man on here half the time whining about what the kids are doing, even when it's people who are much older than me. People can't just enjoy beer anymore, it always needs to be about getting the most of it to buy friends or brag on instagram. I guess I just don't understand. There have been studies that show for drug users, actually getting the drugs causes more happiness than taking them. It seems like for a bunch of people on here, "winning" beer releases is what they enjoy, the beer is irrelevant.

People in the SW forum are very sensitive to hoarding. Many douchebags buy up new releases and put them on craigslist with a massive markup. I know many so-called hoarders are very generous people who share openly with friends, and still others are avid traders who spread local offerings around the country.

Still, it's difficult for me and many others to not imagine all these people just sitting in their cellar (closet) staring at their hoard, planning which picture to post next, wondering how people could actually drink their precious.

No harm, man. It can get snippy in here. Do what you like and don't apologize.

This is me. I love buying beer. I would say my priorities are:
    1. taking pictures of beer (to post on Instagram)
    2. Getting beer (especially limited beers)
    3. drinking beer
