Because Specs midtown has choked out their satellite stores for the most part with the special releases. The satellite stores rearely get any of the special stuff anymore and if they do it's extremely limited. I hate driving downtown personally. The lines aren't bad because I typically run into friends. At least I office from home and can usually make the trip. Many of my friends that don't have the same luxury get shut out of the special releases now or have to make multiple stops at HEB and Whole Foods to secure beer. I try to avoid purchasing from Specs for this reason. If I could complete drop them then I would. The "beer guys" at the Specs I visit aren't happy about it either.

 

yeah...i was speaking with a guy from a satellite location a few months back.
he stated whenever they receive special releases, midtown specs would order them to ship it over to their location.

 

That had a hurt a little. Even in Oklahoma.

Yep, just 30 BOMB! and 6 BB this time. I'm muleing some of it for other and some for trades. In one beer run I can get Parabola, Abyss, Heady Topper, Chocolate Rain, etc. It's easier to buy a ton of this and trade for some beers I want than to hope I'll get a bottle of something from a store that only gets a 6 pack case.

 

When is the release date for this beer?
