Yeah shipping seemed high. I did notice the beer prices seemed low? I've seen in this post that the Parabola is $16.99 at the sourse and some shops charging $20-25? I got an email from a shop i use in San Fran last week and they limited to 1 and charged $25. I figured maybe it evened out a bit but prob still high overall. Considering they dont distribute here i figured my only other option is a trade. With the shipping cost of a trade I just went ahead and ordered from this shop.

I've never used them before so hopefully it's legit! I got a standard "thanks for your order" email reply then 2 days later a shipping number from UPS so assume it went through. I'd image the shop isn't super popular considering they had BR Racer X in stock and i think that came out last Oct?!

 

Yeah probably not worth it unless you buy more bottes. I think shipping for 4 bombers was $30 so $23 per Parabola after shipping. Idk what they'll charge in TX but $23 isn't probably that much more but if you're only wanting 1 bottle then def not worth it.

I've found that with most online shops - it doesn't really pay to buy from them unless you're getting a decent sized order.

That website is pretty pricey. I added a Sucaba, Parabola, and World Wide Stout and total coming to OH was $60.

 

How much is Parabola where you guys are? (or Sucaba, etc?) I figured i was paying $23/bottle with shipping which seems high but didn't think it was in the ridic range.

 

We just got it in AZ and I've been getting it for $16

 

I'm in FW's backyard, and I could get it easily for $15 right after it was released, with great difficulty for $11 at Costco some time later, but now everyplace it's left is charging north of $20. I wouldn't pay $23 now b/c I've got all I need, but it's not outrageous.

 

It's not bullshit if you're one of his regular customers. My local shop always holds stuff for me, and they get massive business from me.

 

Got mine at Venice WholeFoods during a Firestone tasting. Very lucky to have it on tap as well, and it is truly wonderful. It was so smooth, I wanted a full glass but would have ended up drunk. Got my bottle, going to be a Christmas present for the brother in law! =)

 

Just picked up 3 bottles from Clearview Spirits for $70 all in, which I don't think is all that unreasonable considering what I went through in getting shut out from store to store around here. I will gladly pay what amounts to $8.50 per bottle for shipping.

 

Again it ends up being $23/bottle for 3 which seems fairly reasonable. Especially if you can't get it in your state and the states that still have it left are charging $20.

Blackwell's Beer Run email had it this week for $25, limted to 1 AND you pay shipping.

 

What's a fair trade for parabola if I'm trading for KBS?

FWIW, I think 1 Parabola for 3 KBS. I recently traded 4 KBS and 2 Black Note for 2 Parabolas.

 

You guys in California are so lucky. Here in Illinois, we have a strict 29-bottle limit.

thanks for the link!...picked up a few bottles to ship to NY...it's a bit pricey, but considering how tough its been to get Parabola here in the past and most places have a 1bottle limit..I don't mind paying the extra $$ to get a bunch of bottles and not have to drag my ass all over LI to get enough to last me awhile
