Bell's Black Note bottles and Distro?

Hmm, that is the first I have heard of Long Island getting any... maybe a good sign.

 

Just got the last of the Black Note I think, had to argue with the guy to lower the ass blasting price of 10 per.

 

Long Island got 4 cases. Two for Nassau, two for Suffolk.

 

Fuck those guys. Need to report them to the breweries for gouging. They were selling KBS for $15/bottle last year.

 

Ploughman was selling BN for $12/btl and KBS for $9/btl this year.

 

Probably 3-4 years ago I remember a guy getting a whole case of Hopslam at WF Arlington. Highly doubt that is even possible now.

 

Never fear..It seems if you live in DE, NJ, MD, VA, or even NY you can just come to the friendly state of Pennsylvania and show up at Shangy's in Emmaus, and you are gaurnteed to walk away with a case.

 

Hopslam was pretty plentiful in NYC this year. My local supermarket still has a bunch for $17.99/sixer.

 

Still seeing Hopslam not infrequently around Brooklyn.

 

Probably because it's a malty alcohol bomb

 

So has all of the 4 cases Long Island received been distributed yet or not? Wondering if my store will get some this week when their weekly distribution comes in.

 

1 went to the aforementioned Garden City location, another went/is going to The Good Life in Massapequa. I am not sure which two in Suffolk will be receiving.

 

I'd pay those prices in a heartbeat.

 

Oh, that is a bummer. Well Massapequa isn't too far and I can always stop to get a 1/4er from All American, making the trip twice as worth it.

 

Got a 6'er this year, choked 2 down, shipped the remaining 4 to my buddies in NJ, I'll never add myself to a list of hopslam ever again, or even try to find it...worst batch I've had since 2011...turrible

 

has anyone been seeing any of these around, or is it done for the year?

Seems as though bottles are starting to pop up around Philly. Bottle Bar East did a thing on Facebook earlier where first 18 people to comment got a bottle reserved.

 

Too late. They probably had one case for the store and it was gone whenever the palette first hit them (yesterday or earlier).

 

Actually it was $10.49 for Black Note.

The cheapest Black Note I got this year was $6.99. As I took it to the checkout counter, the clerk thought I was breaking a 4/6 of a standard beer and had to check to see if I was allowed to do that. I said "hey, if you're forcing me to buy a 4-pack I'll gladly take it." The manager said he's only supposed to sell it to people who buy $100 of groceries, but he sold it to me anyway.
