Alpine brewing at Green Flash?

theres gonna be some nelson tapped at the harp in ocean beach tomorrow. im gonna walk over there and have some, ill ask about if it came from green flash and see what the deal is.

 

They are with Artisan Ales for these. First batch at GF was all Nelson, next will be all Duet, then HB

 

Will this be available in kegs only? Or bottles/cans too? I saw the Far Bar also got a keg in.

 

I'm not certain but I have seen bottles Nelson and Duet almost back-to-back in just a couple weeks. Haven't seen either in a long while before that so maybe this is somehow helping them get more bottles out (whether through GF or at ABC).

 

The WF in Pasadena on Arroyo also had bottles of PH last week. I'm sure they got them through a distributor. Would seem unlikely WF would sell bottles they weren't supposed to have.

 

I've always kind of figured this would let ABC keg less and bottle more of Nelson and Duet. So maybe that's what happened. It'd make sense, I think.

 

Wow really? I never seem to find anything that interesting there except for maybe a random single bottle of Pliny.

 

They've gotten all the Beachwood releases (minus Buffalo), all of the Showers (I believe), and some other fun stuff every now and then.

 

I guess i must be going on the wrong day.

 

I mainly go because they always have Fortunate Islands in stock.

 

I love walking in there and picking up a six-pack of Swami's and Fortunate Islands. So good.

 

Had some Nelson at Fathers Office last night. Nice to have some Alpine without having to drive down to SD. Thanks to this thread for pointing out it was hitting LA bars. Hope it continues.

 

I've seen a couple kegs of Nelson in the Bay Area in the past week. The concept of Alpine on draft locally has me super stoked.

 

I was at the pub on Saturday. Oddly, they were out of nelson. But i did hear that they are going to be brewing hoppy birthday at greenflash that will get distrobution.

 

Will Nelson, Duet & Hoppy Birthday be brewed one time & done only at Green Flash Brewery? Or will they keep brewing these 3 until ABC figures out what they will do for their expansion? Also will these eventually get bottled and distro'd out to SoCal & NorCal?

 

The way I understood it was this was an ongoing agreement. These should be in rotation for the foreseeable future.

 

David, the contract with GF I believe is the "expansion " if you know what I mean.

Who has tried the first batch of Nelson from GF? Thought?

 

It's hazy and delicious.

 

Considering the thread in this forum that is referencing where Nelson has hit in NorCal, can any of you comment on where these kegs have hit in SoCal? Specifically in North County? Thanks for the help, cheers!
