Just moved to Los Angeles

    Thanks for all your input and debate. I will be trying ALL mentioned breweries as I believe that I will benefit from creating my own opinion and may (probably will) disagree with one or two of the opinions above

    agree with Smog City. especially given where this gentlemen will be located. checked out Ohana last weekend. good beers. hoping to see what they get up to

    from what i read The Dudes are supposed to get a tasting room soon. their double IPA is really tasty. just wish they'd date their cans

    I recommend checking out the Stone Company Store in Old Town Pasadena. You can drink there and/or take growlers home. Always solid and there is a nice rotation of library/new beers on a weekly basis (not to mention their year round beers). Enjoy! Cheers!

    OP, if this sounds like it's up your alley, follow Stone Company Store Pasadena on social media and subscribe to their newsletter to stay on top of special bottle releases and growler fills. You should also know that Congregation Ale House has a location a block away from here and Vendome Liquors has a pretty good Pasadena location about a mile from here. There are other good stops in Pasadena, too, so making the trek all the way there can definitely be worth it. Cheers!

    Agree with all of that. Would also add to Vendome that they let you drink bottles there as well. So in case you don't feel like waiting, or would rather stay out for the evening, that's an option for you.

    Speaking of Pasadena, the Pasadena Brewfest is coming up on the 26th.

    I haven't been to this event, so I can't say if its worth it or not. But they do seem to have a good line up of local breweries.

    If you are going to be in Pasadena, it's also a good idea to check out Kings Row Gastropub, Vendome, and the Whole Foods on Arroyo.
