Was there distribution to VA before? I might be confused by the wording of your post.

Yes, but not sure what year they pulled out due to supply issue. I want to say 2007 was last time 3F was in VA?

Somewhere in the late 90s I believe, FFF was available in North Carolina from a somewhat forward thinking distributor who worked in arrears. I was told from on high that N.C. was not held in high esteem because of these past arrangements. The beers have always been great, but I would imagine that they would not get too much outside of their immediate regional distribution footprint at any point going forward. In all honesty, with what's going on here (and in Va.) and with great brews that are readily available all of the time, FFF not coming into any new area is no big deal.

People on here need to realize that FFF's is not just a brewery but also a business that clearly has a working model based on scarcity. Why do people wait in line at the brewbup for an hour or more on a Friday night? Why are people willing to pay a so called premium for this Indiana brewer's beers? (besides the fact they are awesome). Come live in NW Indiana and you'll quickly understand. I for one am pretty stoked to see a local business such as FFF's thrive and continue to expand their offerings. I can only imagine what sort of crazy offerings they have in store once the distillery gets going.

Dude, they raised the price on 6pks to $13.99 when you can find them around here. Yes, that means that they are both still producing Pride and Joy AND Indy stores are selling them for $2 more per 6pk. That small bump in price had to let the 3-tier see profits all the way through.

Also, get your ass back to Indy, I have some old De Dolle that isn't going to bury itself in my backyard.

HEY! Don't you DARE mock the 3 tier system, SIR.

I'd do some simply degrading things to have more ancient De Dolle. And that shall happen.

You can look at their website right now. 6 packs are still $10. My local liquor store sells 6 packs of all their FFF beers for $12.99.

The only reason FFF beers seem so outrageously priced for many people is cause some but not all local liquor stores jack the price WAY up on beers like Zombie Dust & Gumballhead due to demand.

I was at a liquor store in Lawrenceburg, IN a few weeks ago. They were charging $16 for a sixer of Robert the Bruce. Brutal.

What sucks is they don't distribute to Michigan, and we boarder their state.....

What really sucks is that I go to school three hours away from the brewpub and I'll be caught dead before any liquor store has anything other than Alpha King, Pride and Joy, and Robert the Bruce. The bars around town might get a keg of ZD once every 2-3 weeks. It's embarrassing. I get that Chicago represents a bigger market for FFF, but at least give the major metro areas in your own state some damn love when you're as big and successful as they are.

Someone above really hit it on the head when they said "now distribute to central IN."

The price they charge is in person at the brew pub, not in distribution. All my regular stores (4-5 places) have said that after they switched distributors the distributor raised the price of all 6-packs to $13.99.

As a citizen of CHI i hereby claim 3 Floyds an IL brewery. It is only 2000 ft from our border and they take care of us as far as distribution. Also i know some of the employees live in the chicagoland area. As many times as ive been there i dont ever recall seeing anybody sporting Colts or Pacers gear its always Bears, Cubs, Sox, Bulls & Blackhawks. So yes its ours.

I think you can elevate that to founder (Nick Floyd) and vice president (Barnaby Struve) live in Chicago.

I was down for lunch yesterday, and the expansion looks fantastic. Bigger system, new tanks (with more on the way,) more automation...it's awesome. Super happy for'em.
