I'd take F44 and Haskell's over the Roch crew any day. Probably homerism on my part as I grew up in the cities. Cheers!

Are you kidding me, a liquor (beer) store soliciting donations in order to expand their business. This country is still a bastion of capitalism is it not? It would seem to me that any for profit enterprise either lives or dies via their ability to market a sought after product. If done so successfully the business will grow itself. I'm all for donating to worthy charities but a for profit business does not qualify as one.

So, just a quick update. With over 2/3 of the time passed, they have yet to hit the halfway point of their goal. I doubt they'll hit their goal, but they've collected a good chunk of change which will help them with their "cause." Wonder where they'll pull the other $20K or so they need for that new store.

Most likely from their own bank account you know they are a profitable store  so now they only need a 50% down payment

I thought that they only get the pledged funds if the goal is met.

most kickstarters are like this, but their indiegogo site says that they keep the funds whether the goal is met or not.

No offense, but anyone that donated to this is a complete moron. What a joke.

I hope none of the nay-sayers of the FF promotion are big Neil Young fans. If you are, you need to look at the record breaking (6.2 mil) Kickstart promo Neil did for his new online music Pono ($399 a pop).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see any charitable benefits coming from this venture....Ya'll better start burning those Harvest, Comes a Time, etc. LPs!!!

If a multi millionaire like NY thinks this is a good business move, I guess it's good enough for everyone else! Don't hate, I'm just sayin...Give if you want, Don't give if you don't agree w/ the program, it's just that simple.

Kickstarter is an all or nothing. Indiegogo is always a get what is donated type thing.

yeah, it's almost as if there's a difference between buying a hi-tech media player and paying a cover charge to a fucking beer store. (with free stickers!)

The difference between the two is pretty substantial. Also, I've said it's a good business move for FF. That doesn't mean I agree with is or that I don't think it's just a cheap money grab instead of being an actual business. The Neil Young thing was mostly a pre-order of a product. Of the 18000+ backers, 15000+ were pre-orders of t he product. I'm all for that.
