Anyone know if there any Bible Belt around town still? Hopefully down south.

Colorado Liquor Mart had some yesterday. They put a 1 bottle limit on it though (thankfully after I picked up a few the day before!). Sorry, don't travel down south so I couldn't tell you.

They got plenty in Boulder, most places have 2-3 bottle limit. It's great, but not as good as Prairie Bomb or Pirate Bomb IMO. Best label EVER !!!

Wasn't much of a fan of '12 or '13 Parabola (really any of FW's big releases... PNC perhaps being the exception), so I won't spend money on '14, but if anyone would want to trade '13 for '14 (or some other good beer), I'd be down. I'd also give a '13 (plus $34 for the beer) to anyone who could mule for me at the Crooked Stave release tomorrow. I only want one bottle for myself, but the people I trustee for would also like a bottle and I don't believe they were given the option to buy any, so... Also don't want to take the chance on distro...

I loved '11 and '12 (didn't have '13), but I'm not all that thrilled with '14. It just seems like another generic bourbon bomb to me. I seem to recall that the earlier Parabola's were aged in a combination of wine and bourbon barrels, and I liked the much toned down bourbon in those, as well as whatever it was that the wine barrels added. But, I think that now that F-W has the separate sour facility, they've moved all the wine barrels there, and Parabola is just in spirit barrels. I seem to recall Matt Brynildson saying that on the brewing network late last year. I personally am just not that big of a fan of bourbon-forward beers.

    Drinking a '14 now, it's wonderful.

Just got some Parabola at Supermarket Liquors in Fort Collins. They had about 10 bottles left at around 1pm. They are in the front.

Will be arriving in Denver around noon tomorrow and would love to try and trade for some Parabola if possible. Will have a couple Prairie Coffee Noir, 2 Mother's MILF & a Jack Abby BA Vanilla Framinghammer.

Hops and Pie has both '13 and '14 on tap today. I'd be there if I didn't have work.

I just drank one of my Bible Belts and I agree that it definitely isn't as good as BOMB!. The base stout for Bomb is simply better, and I like the more prominent spicing in Bomb as well. It's a pretty good beer and if Bomb isn't around it'll do. But for the $9ish per bottle I don't know if I'll go for another.

The '14 was great but I was really stoked for the winter wookey and agrestic, delicious beers.

Found a stack of eight Parabolas at a small, neighborhood liquor store yesterday...it's still out there...you just need to know where to look. There was no limit though, so I bought quite a few...

Probably because he bought them all.

Its no secret which stores got Parabola, go hit Firestone's website and let your fingers do the walking.

I know, it just annoys me. I got a bottle, which made me content, it's just the whole "hey I found this secret stash but I'm not telling" mentality that kills me. Either say where you found it, or keep it to yourself.

Agreed, but it's gotten weird around here. I got personal attacks for talking about where to find Cantillon so who knows what's going on with the mountain forum these days. To make this relevant I bought a bottle of Parabola at the store in Conifer when I went fishing a week ago and they still had a couple left.

Yeah that was bizarre. Jealousy, is probably the best explanation. Who knows. I get that things are pretty crazy with the limited releases but I don't get telling people you got some, but not sharing where. I always see you posting about where you see stuff, which is awesome. But yeah, I think weird is probably the right word for a lot of what goes on.
