Best beers to pick up while in Indianapolis?

Local stuff? Growlers from Black Acre, Bier or Outliers. If Sun King has any Lonesome Dove left, grab that too ($18/2-pack). Lots of other bottle options for other stuff not local. If you want, I'm happy to play tour guide.

And, since you're coming from TX, any chance you have some JK bottles you'd be willing to trade? I had a box with a MvB, a CvT and a La Vie supposedly delivered a couple weeks ago, but either the FedEx driver lied about where he delivered it or someone stole it in the 15 minutes between delivery time and when I got home, and I'd love to try those beers.

 

Where abouts are you staying? The better stores are Kahns on Keystone and various Crown locations. I like Daredevil Brewings Lift Off IPA, Fat Heads Headhunter, and Three Floyd's of course.

Be mentally prepared for some sticker shock here though. Prices here are inflated in comparison to other MW cities.

 

Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention going to Brugge Brassiere. No growler fills or bottles, but a must stop. Their food alone is worth it.

 

But Outliers downtown does fill Brugge growlers, if interested.

I can go to Outliers on a friday or sunday and get a growler of Harvy, Pooka or Peonie(?sp)?

At Outliers. I haven't been able to purchase kegs via Outliers in a few weeks.

 

I really wanted to take some up to the Shorts party next weekend. Oh well.

 

They said that Pookah is in the bright tank and might be ready on Tuesday.

 

I'll be heading up thursday night though, and they don't open for growler fills until friday. :/
