What beer got you hooked on craft beer?

    For me being an Ohio native, my first craft brew that opened that door for me was Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold. From that day on my perception of "beer" changed.

    Henry Weinhard Special Ale(something like that) in 1977, then marrying a French woman whose father introduced me to Belgian and German beer in 1981. After that regular domestic lagers would never do.

    La Fin Du Monde. Still one of my favorites.
    Funnily enough, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is one of the worst beer experiences I've ever had- first tried it in college, before I knew what a hop was. But being a broke college kid, I had spent money on it, so I soldiered on and drank it.

    I've said this before but when I was 18 I fixed my older sisters broken computer. she offered to buy me a beer for it.We went to the liquore store and laughed at the arrogant bastard label and bought it for me. And it's just about been ten years sense then!

    Southern Tier 2xIPA. It took me about 2 hours to drink half of it. A year later I had Brooklyn's Black Chocolate Stout, and I hated it. A month later I was hooked on that stout -- I had it as a meal with pepperjack cheese and crackers for a week. I've been the biggest fans of just about every style of beer since then.

    The first time I had that, I immediately said I could have that at any time of the day, any day of the year. It's just right.

    I think it was probably Pete's Wicked Ale at the Rueb in Northfield, MN back in the early '90s.

    Arrogant Bastard. Couldn't stand it the first time. Went to Stone IPA and loved it. Came back to AB a little while later and loved it as well.
