Kicked off with Rudgate's Ruby Mild and am now sampling Partizan's Single.

Can't resist it any longer so cracking open the Lervig/Magic Rock Farmhouse IPA. Good stuff, the funk outweighs the hops. I'd say unfortunately it wasn't as nice a really good ipa - no lovely oily, lingering hops and not as good as a really good saison - decent funk but definitely toned down yeasty element. Insanely drinkable though, refreshing with well hidden alcohol and nice carbonation, wish I'd saved it for sitting in the garden on a sunny day. Wales though eh.

Edit: forgot I turned the fridge temperature down, now it's warmed up a bit it's a lot better, a really great beer.

Sounds tempting - I might have to sample mine soon. Currently on Duvel's Tripel Hop 2014, tasty....

Definitely worth it. Moving on to Beavertown's Quelle Saison - sharp and fruity, surprisingly high flavour levels for the 4.7% abv.

Also on my last, Buxton Sede Vacante (12% whisky aged stout) inky black and reeking of whisky. That whisky backs up an intense, sickly sweet character, with almost no carbonation. This is good shit.

I have two bottles of Sede Vacante. Tempted to try one now but I was planning on holding on to them for a year or two.

I just figured as it was already aged it may as well be drunk. Mine definitely was not overly boozy like the BCBS 2012 I had just after it was released, which I guess would be the main reason for aging it more? If you have a spare I'd definitely recommend giving one a go.
