What are your favorite yeasts for brewing a Belgian triple?

Only have done 1 so far and it just went in secondary after a 4 week primary. Used WLP500, Trappist. Tasted as it went into secondary and was delish!

3522 is good to. Others like 1388 make great beer as well, but just strictly tripel.

Not familiar with 3878. Perhaps you mean 3787?

A monster starter of WY3522 did wonders for my belgian tripel, raised the temp of the wort 10 degrees during fermentation.

3522 is great (prefer it in table beers/enkels)
1388 is great (prefer it in golden strongs)
3787 is classic tripel - bubble gum etc
3864 is good (little too phenolic for my liking)
    1214 is great (chimay yeast)

just about any belgian yeast will make a good tripel, its all about the ester profile you want

    so do you want...

    bubblegum
    phenolic
    pear
    fruity
    spicy
    etc?

you tell us what your looking for and we can point you to the yeast

Thanks everyone for the great replies. I'm looking for a more of a fruity yeast with little to no spice.

I had great luck with 1214. I've done 3787 twice and not been super satisfied with the results, and 3522 was better but still not as good as 1214. Still a small sample size, but I know for sure my next tripel will be with 1214.

1214 provided more of a fruity pear/apple character than 3787, which is definitely more spicy/phenolic.
