Correction: Mean Eyed Cat is NOT "across the street" from Whole Foods. It's all the way down by where Mopac offloads on to 5th St. Probably only about a mile all told, but anyone expecting to pop in while they happen to be visiting Whole Foods should plan for a good two mile round trip. Maybe not worth it for the craft beer alone, although I do think MEC has a cool atmosphere that's hard to find in anyplace that does have a stellar beer selection.

A bit strange having KBS in a slightly oversized shot glass.

Mean Eyed Cat to Whole foods and back is a 1.5 mile roundtrip

Was Sucaba on tap Fri night? The waitress failed to mention that part if so. KBS was wonderful & WBDPP tasted a little off to me, compared to the other times I've had it already.

It was a good night though at a relaxing atmosphere.

Ya, BB Rovers had Sucaba on tap, and maybe still does? It was on the guest beer list that our waitress gave us, so I tried it out. I couldn't even finish 1/2 of my 7oz pour, I disliked it so much...

I must of received an outdated list. Damnit, I love that beer.

Man...BB Rover's has come a loooooooooooooong way since I've lived there! Hell, since I last visited there...when/how did all of this Craft Beer epiphany happen there?

Based on my recent visit, it sounds like James is the 'beer guy' there. I think he said he's been there about a year and a half and has been transitioning some of the imports on the list to american craft. With KBS, WBDPP and Sucaba all on tap and some nice bottle offerings, sounds like he's doing pretty job crafting it up.

They actually have always had a pretty hefty beer list, just taps were usually a bit light of good things, at least when i moved here that was the case.

Sucaba was also on my tap list, but i didnt have any since im pretty sure its just not my kind of beer.

Oh sure...There was always quantity...but now it looks like there is quality, as well! I'll be sure to hit it up the next time I'm in ATX...
