Interesting thread. Love the Simpsons Reference..... Supply Vs. Demand Sucks - for those with the demand and not the supply. The constant scavenger hunt-need-to-have-the-latest release truck chasing phenomina is an amazing turn of events that has sprouted over recent years...considering there was a time where back to back vintages of bourbon county would sit on the shelf - seen as expensive shelf turds....Respect is all that is needed on both sides of the purshase-selling relationship - regardless of the store [big or small].... If a product is in, sell it. If a product is out, sell another one. If you can't find a product, disappointing as though it maybe - listen to the suggested/recommended replacements..Who knows, a new favorite with less demand and therefore more supply ?!? Just as important is to remember: it is still beer. Eventually, we'll be pissing it out either way and I'm pretty sure, but wouldn't bet on it...that no one is rebottling it for sale or cellar...

Off to find something to drink.. Cheers-

Back in the Sam's days i still smoked cigarettes. One fine afternoon i was outside smoking when this Lamborghini pulled up and parked, naturally, in the fire lane. Driver goes in. Few moments go by, a guy walks out and gets into his upper-crust Mercedes. As he's backing out of his space, he hits the Lambo's fender. He sees that i saw, gets out, looks at his car, looks at the Lambo, then looks at me and says, deadpan: "He can afford it." Gets back in his car, and drives off. A minute later Lambo guy comes out and notices. I tell him what happened. He flips and starts yelling at me. We call police, yadda yadda. At the time, there were no cameras on the lot. So i told the cop exactly what happened. Cop looks at Lambo guy and asked why he didnt take a parking space. Lambo guy looks confused, Cop says "Well, you were in the fire lane, YOU hit HIM."

That went over about as well as you could imagine.

I love CPD's "I have real crimes to deal with" attitude towards this stuff.

I don't want to get into it again, as it was kind of a big deal on these forums a year and a half or so ago. Let's just say, don't ever go to the MGM in Burnsville, MN. Here is a brief synopsis of the manager's attitude towards us when my buddy and I asked where the Surly was. "Surly is so overrated. Why would I need mediocre beer? Look around you. Don't you see what I've done!! I did this!! I brought in all of this beer!! I've tried over 500 beers!! How many have you tried?"

Ugh...Needless to say, she now sells Surly, including their Overrated IPA...Not implying they got the idea from my story, just saying.

^^^This the Nora Whole Foods in Indy gets their trucks in on Tuesday's and Friday's. Last week I was going out of town for the 4th and left the office early on the Tuesday prior and figured I would stop in and see if they got any ZD in on the truck. The girl behind the counter was pissed. Some dude came in and she let him have a 6 pack he asked if there was more and she tried to ration him to the lone 6 pack since their shipment is very limited. He went and complained to the manager and bought all the Zombie Dust they got in that day. She was still fuming when I asked. She was nice to me but obviously pissed at the dude. She did hook me up with some Gumball Head but I can see where the frustration comes in for guys like Al and his peers.
