So i recently acquired some 2010 and 2011 Night Stalkers. The bottles from 2011 are more filled compared to 2010 is this normal? Thanks

Fills vary all the time, we live in an imperfect world.

Have you had any yet? Interested in your thoughts on the '10. Frankly, I am not a fan of this beer fresh. Hoping that it picks up with some time.

I just opened a bottle from March 2010 on Friday and it was quite good. The hops are definitely long gone and base stout was pretty rich and tasty.

Thanks much. time to try it again. Fresh it was like hop tea to me. (and I like hops... but it just didn't do it for me)
    Appreciate the heads up.

I had a bottle a couple months ago. I agree that base stout is rich and tasty but I do not want to say the hops are necessarily gone. There was still a lingering citrusy flavor that I like up which blended nicely with the more prominent rich chocolaty malt flavor.

They actually did a recall in 2010 for a batch that was drastically under-filled. Maybe you found one that didn't get picked up by the distributor?

This is a great cigar beer.

I have a bottle from Feb 2011 in my cellar, really excited to try it. I likely fresh but have only heard positive things about it aged.

I've still got three bottles of the '10. The one I had a few months back was a liquorice bomb.
