I think both Mad Mex in Cranberry and Urban Tap will have KBS on during PCBW

Yeah but both on week nights and I work afternoons and usually Saturdays which is my big problem. So it's Caliente or bust for me attending anything PCBW this year.

Where do you work at if you don't mind me asking? That's really the pits that you basically have no free time to hit any event up, no matter what time or day of the year it is.

I work in hospitality so everything gets shady. I'm the Assistant Banquet Manager at the Cranberry Marriott. I usually work, like, 2pm - 1130 PM MTTF and 2p-2a on Saturdays. Sundays and Wednesdays off don't exactly lead to the fun activities, but I'm a giant nerd so at least I get to spend Wednesdays at the comic book shop. That's like my one social day unbelievably enough. Heh.

Damn. It definitely stinks that you have afternoon / night hours, but that's killer working both Fridays and Saturdays every week.

Hopefully your KBS tastes like liquid gold and the Pens pull their head out of their asses and get a win.

Eh, it's a thing. I usually don't like big crowds unless it's a special occasion like this or I'm at a game or something so I don't care most weeks. I'm more content with a Wednesday off with my geek cohorts than a Saturday at the bar, but I do tend to miss a lot of stuff like PCBW events and Pens games and whatnot. My real beef is how late this year's event calendar hit because it just left me no time to put in a request or whatever. I'm only getting to go o Caliente because my boss knows I'm spent from ten straight 50 hour weeks and haven't had a three day weekend since last August and is forcing me out. Otherwise I'd have gone yet another year without gettin to a single one of these tappings.

But yeah, if anyone from here is there Saturday I'll be the guy wearin a Pens beanie, glasses and some sort of geek shirt like Dr Who or a comic book character. Feel free to say high if you catch me not yelling obscenities at how the Pens are playing. Heh

ha @HumphreyLee you sound like me. Only time i want to be out is normally a happy hour at a good craft beer spot with friends during the week. I'm not a weekend crowds guy either. I think the only weekend things i'm going to are this weekend at Beermuda and next saturday at House of 1000 Beers and those are even earlier in the day. I'll definitely be home for the Pens. I don't like people seeing how i am watching sports.

Thanks for the clarification - will any Margot be on tap/samples during the release?

Yep..samples...and I believe even limited growler fills as well. But don't quote me on the latter. Maybe @BoxOfficeBrian can answer that part definitively.

Happen to be in town for PCBW for a wedding and planning on attending the Margot event and picking up some bottles. What time would you say you need to get there to make sure there are bottles left? I was planning on getting there around 5:30 or 6, but wasn't sure if I'd be the guy looking like an idiot for showing up 30 minutes to an hour early or the guy looking like an idiot because of course I needed to show up at 4:30 to get an allocation

I dont think anybody really knows for sure - its a really new brewery with barely any exposure, brand new beer, weekday night - but also its a sour and the allotment has already dropped so I'm going to start camping out this weekend.

    Allotment dropping should help though, right? 500 / 4 = 125 full allotments, 500 / 3 = 166 full allotments.

500 bottle count + sour + brewery only = 6.2 on the Rarechter scale. Better get in line now.

Seriously, I'm just planning on stopping by around 7pm.

That leaves room for 41 more mules now. Stigs is right the only other bottle release this city has had is for gratitude.

Batch 1 (aka pilot batch) was on tap for samples and maybe even grolwer fills roughly a month or so ago?? This beer is quite a bit different in my opinion. An ABV boost and more tartness.

And how, pray tell, have you been able to try it already?
