You both realize this is a bar and the bottles are to be consumed on site only, right? By all means, enlighten me on the deals each you receive from your local watering hole.

 

Yup, bottles are always marked up something around 200%. Tappers are where the "deals" are at.
I've seen a lot of bars selling BCBS bottles for $10, and when it's on tap it's around $7-8.

 

So my quote is accurate that it is a deal for a BN bottle. The price is around $7-8 retail for a bottle, and only $10 in that bar. That is a fantastic deal!

Had a Bells night tonight with a few friends thanks to @joromiller for sending me a couple Black Notes. He gave them to me just because I never tried it before. The generosity of our community amazes me sometimes.

I know this is a WI thread, but I thought I'd chime in here. Yesterday I was at my local Whole Foods and saw one lonely bottle of Black Note just sitting there...on a cart next to a few bombers. Where in the hell was the rest of the pack? Nobody was around in the booze section and I didn't have the time to search as I was in a mad dash. I should have just taken the single bottle and let the cashier deal with it, heh. I've not been on some mad quest to obtain it, it's mere curiosity to see what the buzz is all about.

 

Since mine is already on hold, I'll be somewhat advocatey and let you all know Woodman's in Oak Creek got their ONE case like an hour ago.

I didn't ask either... don't really care. My guess is probably about the same as KBS so like $6 or $7 a bottle.

Just bought 2 bottles from The Village Dell @ $6.99 a piece if any advocates are in the Rice Lake area of NW WI.

 

Ha, wow. I can't believe a case made it to Rice Lake. I wonder how long that will stick around up there.

Between this sort of thing, the fact that everywhere else in the state seemed to get it before MSN (Rice Lake? Seriously?), and that they're not participating in MCBW make me thing that Bell's has an issue with this market.

Yeah I heard they had some sort of issue with their distributor that services Madison last year. Thats why Black Note came so late and in such limited quantities, and presumably why this is the case again this year, just even more so than last year.
