    dont want to be one to jump to conclusion, but im assuming it was proly from the batch that was brewed in September...

    i know i drank some on tap at the brewery and a local bar, and saw bottles at a few locations.

    I'm actually more happy to see that it'll be on tap around town AND we were planning on hitting Bowens Island for seafood already. Double bonus!

    We'll be in Charleston Wednesday - Friday, so we'll probably swing by the brewery Thursday afternoon. No worries if they're out, but I do appreciate the offer!

    Thanks to everyone for their help and offers. I'm still new to the south, so this will be my first COAST experience. I'm sure I'll find something good even if it's not Boy King. Planning on a stop by Westbrook Wednesday afternoon and at least hoping to try some Holy City in a restaurant or bar. I imagine this won't be my last Charleston visit.

    In the weekly CBX newsletter/email, they announced that they will have BK on tap for 32 oz. mini-growler fills tomorrow beginning at 5pm. Limit is one per person.

    It just popped in my head but wasn't the boy king batch brewed in sept done to celebrate something? Was it making their goal on kick start or whatever. I remember something to the extent of "to celebrate we are going to brew a batch of boy king". Could totally be making that up, does anyone remember that? @rbradley

    I dont think it was. They usually have a batch of boyking out at the beginning of college football season. Also it had been a year since they had made any.

    @mikeincharleston - I believe @james582 is correct...I don't believe last September's batch intentionally coincided with anything; however, the end of the kick-starter and beginning phases of the expansion were right around that time (IIRC). I do know last September's batch of bottles ran out within 1-2 hours as the majority of that production was kegged (due to a lack of labels).

    At any rate, I'm just happy to see how well this first BK batch turned out on the new brewhouse and looking forward to seeing a second batch following right behind this one. Now, if only I can get Mikey to push harder for an Imperial Dead Arm. :sunglasses:

    Picked up bottles of Boy King and Old Nuptial at COAST today. Really enjoyed the entire line up they had on tap. Thanks everyone!

    CBX has Boy King on tap for $10/18 for 32/64 oz growlers as well. Bombers are $10/22oz at the brewery. Old Nuptial is $15.
