They really need to make their site mobile friendly or just make an app.
They had a great idea and executed it, now they just need to take the next step.
So far I'm having fun browsing others cellars.

I've gone to the brewpub every year since turning 21(only 2 years) and live in a town that loved to keep them on shelves before the DFH tv show and such, I just added the '08 yesterday...was in SHOCK to find it at my favorite stores 'cellared' section for only $12, which is what a new bottle would sell for.

I've been playing around with this today and I'm coming across a slew of beers that aren't in the database, or some that are listed as just the beer and also have different vintages of the beer in the name (ie Pere Jacques), or different brewery names with slight variations that should be consolidated and have the beer lists together as well... Anyway, it said the data is from BreweryDB, but there are more beers on CellarHQ, so I'm not sure where some of this is coming from. Its decent, but could definitely use some clean up and to become mobile friendly...

As I'm importing the beers I know off the top of my head, I'm realizing I need to start drinking some of this ASAP!

Well the moment that begin letting users add data with no one checking what is being submitted it screws things up.

THANKS!! Been looking for a reasonably priced freezerless fridge for some time. Didn't think of looking it up using the word "freezerless". Freaking moron = me.

    "Is this hotel pager friendly?"

I prefer just taking pics of my cellar. Way easier and I just update it once I get a big haul in.

With that said, I do like the way CellarHQ is organized and can be great for some people.

Not sure what I might be doing wrong but everytime I add a beer it is putting it into the cellar twice? Is anyone having that issue or can you help me out. Thanks

    Did you reinforce the shelves?

It would be cool if they showed the pics of each beer on the cellar page.

Haven't found one on Craigslist yet, and my wife rejected a $600 cost (brand new at Lowes or Sears) to reclaim her armoire in the basement. :slight_frown:

So, I put all of my beer in and then logged out. Went to log back in and it won't recognize me. Had them send another password to my email address and I get nothing, even in spam folder. I can search and see my name and beer, but I can't sign in. Has this happened to anyone else?

Nope, I've had to relog in every visit and even requested a new password once, I get in every time.
Huge bummer for you though, my apologies!

I emailed Cameron and he said he might be a glitch in the system. Hopefully it will get sorted out.

No problem. It really works well (for the 250.00 I got it for). Just keep an eye out, you will find something sooner or later. It seems this model number was huge in laboratories.

I'm not having this issue, but I did hear about this on another site. I think he is trying to fix it.

I put 2 pieces of Laminate (1058 grade, thickest they sell) on each shelf. I just got a 4x8 sheet and cut it up to fit on each shelf. I guess I could have used some thin wood or something, I just had access to this laminate so I used it.

+100! seriously, great idea. You should submit it as an "idea" on their site. Hit the little feedback thing on the bottom of any page. Sounds like a great idea to me.
