Short's Epic 10th Anniversary bash

This was massively larger than any before it. First time I've seen them close the street and set up a tent, and they clearly needed all that space and more. All the others have been in the pub only.

Shorts may want to get back to that, but even with the upcoming expansion, I think this year may have helped it grow beyond that limitation. I'll be interested to see how next year plays out...

 

Me too. But we'll be there for sure. I want to bring a few more friends. More friends=More fun!

 

That is what I was thinking. Probably skip next years.

 

This was my first anniversary party after never being able to make it before.
I knew the 10th would be amazing and it was!
I will not miss another.

 

I think many feel the same way, and capacity will probably be a lot less next year. Should be interesting.

 

We have been going to Short's anniversary for years, but like others, I am concerned about what it'll be like if next year is just back in the pub again. I can see there being some serious issues if many people show up but there's only room for a couple hundred. We will continue the tradition and head up no matter what, but I can't help but worry that the demand will greatly exceed the capacity.

 

I'm sure they will set a capacity that will prevent it from being a clusterfuck inside, but hopefully the 2x expansion will make it breathable.






I'm in line for next year already.

 

Didn't realize there was that many last year since I haven't been up the past few years.

I've mentioned it before but would love to see the upper middle section of the pub expansion turned into an outdoor deck!

 

That was over the span of the party, not capacity. I wonder how many showed up to this years over the span of the party?

 

Maybe 2000 total came and went throughout the day, but there is no way in hell there were that many people inside at one time.

 

I have to imagine there were 6000+ in total. That's my wild guess based on how long the lines outside were after they reached capacity.

agreed, great beer. i just did a Pliny next to a Stache Bender and both beers are on the same level in my opinion.
