Firestone Walker - Parabola 2014

Came to a store here in richmond and gone in a matter of minutes. Fortunately, I was able to snag a bottle.

 

Maybe where you live. But not in CA where Parabola is plentiful and KBS scarce. All of this is regional.

 

Parabola is not plentiful in CA, unless you live near the brewery which is in the middle of nowhere

 

Depends what you mean by "middle of nowhere", and "near". I consider myself to live near(ish) the brewery (Santa Barbara), but not in the middle of nowhere. Even Paso's not exactly flyover country, but I get the point. Also, here in SB, there are plenty of places I could go get Parabola right now (admittedly, marked up to $20+/bottle). Not plentiful—it disappeared pretty quick at $15—but no riots over bottles either.

 

I did 3 for Parabola. And when you factor shipping, 36 oz for 22 is if anything too generous.

 

I got my bottle because of you... randomly checked my local TW this evening and got the last one. Many thanks.

Confirmed, total wine Chantilly got theirs and it is gone... word has it McLean sold out as well.

 

I was able to snag a bottle in Richmond. Anyone who got it is sold out.

 

I was able to get 7 bottles in Northern Nevada last week at a small liquor store

 

No bottles came out to my little area in the Shenandoah Valley of VA, we had 6-8 cases of 17th that made it out...I struck out...damn it...have a friend in Cali keeping an eye out for me, he said it tends to sit longer than other dank beers out there because of the cost...so there is a chance!

 

One place near me still had a bottle of 17th when I was there last week. May even still have it but parabola came and went (which is weird cause Sucaba just sat on the shelves there).

Agreed. I traded with a good gentleman out in CA: 4 KBS for 2 Parabolas and I threw in a Backwoods Bastard since he had not tried one of those. Good trade and a good value both ways in my mind

 

Was at the source a week ago Saturday; Parabola was on the shelf, so I didn't get any. Went back on my way north this last Friday, and it was all gone, though they still had it on tap.

Found it in the cooler at a small liquor store in Carmel Valley on my way home!

 

Just got a bottle in Truckee, CA. I'm pretty sure it just came in recently because I didn't it see it last time I was at this store a week ago. $16.99 for the bottle wasn't too bad either, which is surprising because this store is usually a couple of bucks more than elsewhere. They still have Abyss sitting in their cooler and it's $3 more than what I paid for it in Reno.

 

Saw a bottle of Parabola at Walnut Liquorette for a rip off price of 25.99. I told them that price is 8-9 dollars more then most stores.

I'm in San Diego until Friday and was really hoping to grab a bottle while I was here. If anyone knows where there still might be a bottle hidden on a shelf please message me. I would be much appreciative!

 

If its anything like here, it never made it to shelves. May want to hit up the local forum for a lead though.

 

I just found a place that has 15 cases of it still. The guy said he transferred all stock that didn't sell from his other stores. It was marked up to 21.99 tho, about $5 more than what I paid a few weeks ago at barrelworks. They also had a few bottles of XVII left and a couple Stone Fyodors Classic's as well.
