I wish I lived in an area that got Pipeworks. So many pipeworks beers that I want.

I am a drinker, not a collector. The only beer I have ever kept over six months or so was a bottle of Bourbon County Vanilla. I drank it to celebrate opening day of the NFL last year, and, while still delicious, was not the vanilla beast it once was. I would seek out fresher vanilla beers personally. You'd get a very similar experience drinking a regular Bourbon County from that year, I imagine.

The Saints won though, so it was worth it.

ON TOPIC - all three of the recent BA Pipeworks beers are just phenomenal.

Told myself I wasn't gonna pay 8.99 for a bottle of BA Jones Dog but I came across a bunch of bottles sitting on the shelf and decided to pick up 2 to see what all the "hype" is about. Can't wait to try one of these bad boys.

What is this talk about new bottle caps? Were there recent issues?

I ask because we picked up a few bottles of BA Jones Dog the Friday before DLD (from Beer Temple and Bottles/Cans). I opened one up Monday night and it was flat. Still drank it but still.... Hoping the others aren't that way, will have to have a friend try and recarb them if they are so we can enjoy them properly.

Any chance we'll see a barrel aged abduction in the next year or two? Any of the series would be interesting in barrels, but I think the standard would be great to have.

I'm guessing the answer is an obvious "duh" but Id have to let the guys answer that. But I'd guess they already have some in barrels at this moment. If they don't, I'm sure they will at some point. These guys want to have a ballin barrel room

I came here to aska question.

I see the weirdo wit dropped today. Is NvU dropping too? Trying to figure out if I should wait before sending out my beer mail. I live in west burbs.

Edit: looks like it was bottled 4/24. Did glen ellyn stores get this batch? Cellar? Binnys?

My BA Jones Dog was really flat too. More so than BCBS but then again I think it's just the nature of that style.

Having said that, I've had a couple of Ninja/Unicorn series beers that have been almost completely still (I'm looking at you Galaxy Unicorn). So they do occasionally have some undercarbonated stuff.

Bottles were from batch 209. I drank a bottle at Bad Apple (was on the menu) which was batch 75? and carbonation was ok.

I tasted BA Coffee Break Abduction at Local Option the night before FOBAB. It was fantastic. Better than the any of the BA offerings I tried from the first batch.

Pipeworks said this about BA beers, so wonder if this has anything to do with the latest batch of BA Jones Dog being flat....
