True, and if I lived in VT and not 3 hours away, I'd probably have it more often.

Not sure if MBC would run into any name infringement here, but isn't it a no brainer to make a breakfast stout called "Breakfast"? Then you can barrel age it, and you got "Brunch". That is gold right there, I don't even need commission for that, that one is on me. You can complete the set with "Dessert", maybe an Imperial Chocolate Stout. And then top it off with "Fourth Meal", a session pale ale. Then I can get the complete set and try and trade it for DB Huna.

Wouldn't their "Fourth Meal" be a "Gordita IPA" or maybe a "Nachos Locos Saison" ??

Ha ha good call. I was thinking of a beer that would go well with tacos, but what if you put the taco flavor in the beer. Or just blend Doritos into the mash.

It is a 1 case limit per person, whereas the initial release was 4 bottles per person.

Anyone looking to split a case? It would have to be shipped to me in PA but I would take care of that.

Definitely looking for this and can make it happen anyway possible.

Scanning the thread comments and putting a rough timeline together: released on 3/11/14 (see page 1), gone by 3/13/14 (comment on this page that someone pasted from MBC's FB).

Again, rough timeline, but not long at all.

I didn't see this info on their events page and was curious. When does this start on 5/21 and how much per case?

thank you, that's enough to go by. not sure how many cases 15bbl produces but it seems like quite a bit to me. thus the increase to case limit this time, right?

If I can get there, it will be late on the release day

    Doing some quick math:

    15 bbl = 1,788.6 liters or 3,500 500ml bottles (assuming 38 liters of waste)

That would be up to 291 12 bottle cases, lets say 275 as they will save some of the beer to serve on tap.

    So by my rough calculations:

3,300 bottles available (or 275 cases), which will generate MBC $26,400 at $8 a piece. I'm not sure how much was for sale the first time, but it seems it lasted two days. I'm hoping it will make it to Saturday when we're up in Maine.

At the very least, it should make trading easier as people can get 12 bottles each.

Actually, happy hour Sundays at Russian River means $3 pints of Elder and Blind Pig. [...crickets...]. But to be fair Dinner is a great beer. Too expensive? Don't buy it. Such is life.

Not to take this thread down, but I hate when people complain about money. If you decide it's too much then go somewhere else like everything in life.

Is Dinner worth the extra money to me? Yes. Is it a better beer than Pliny? By far.

very cool! I have no idea how to calculate bbl so this was very helpful!

now to just convince my clients that the ONLY day they can meet with me will be either early the 21st or early the 22nd lol
