Austin Beerworks 3rd Anniversary

Happy to hear some of y'all will be making it out to the party. Last year was a great time, but we felt things got too crowded at times. One of the issues was breaking up the party into two sessions. The idea was to spread the crowds out, but it ended up creating a huge surge of guests all at once. So, this time we're spreading it out over one long session (11am-7pm). Most of the special stuff will be tapped earlier in the day - a schedule will be sent out to all ticket holders.

Won't that just cause a rush at the beginning? I could understand tapping stuff every hour over the course of the day...but I sorta feel that having all the special stuff at the beginning will cause everyone to show up early and a cluster then.

But, I am no event organizer. I will be there early to get some of the new stuff.

Sorry if that wasn't clear - we will be tapping the *kegs consecutively, not all at once. But, we plan on tapping the rarest stuff first.

Our rationale is that a relatively small percentage of attendees is coming just for the special stuff. We want the people who do want them to be able to get them before it gets too crowded. The live music (Urban Achievers Brass Band, All My Friends, and Foot Patrol) won't start until about 1-2pm, which is when we expect it to be the busiest. But, nothing is set in stone yet. I'm open to requests...

 

I request that you hold off on that Sputnik until I get there around 12. Thanks!

They're playing the second set. We're going to try and have the first band start at 1pm and end by 2pm, but things rarely go exactly according to plan.

 

Will you be accepting the regular tokens if we want to try more than the 5 beers we get with entry to the Anniversary party? I'm having a hard time narrowing it to 5...

Also, is there just 1 keg of Einhorn and Sputnik? Sputnik was awesome, and I missed Einhorn and definitely want to be there for those.

 

Everyone will get a 5-tabbed wristband upon entry. No tokens for this party.

We only have one 1/6bbl keg of Einhorn (about 60 fills of the Anniversary glasses). We have more Sputnik to go around.

Is this where we place our orders? I will just take any of the bourbon barrel stuff or a keg of the Sputnik. Either way, my kegorator needs a new keg in it.

I demand more Sputnik! I had a great time, bought a few shirts and had some tasty beverages.

 

Sputnik was fantastic, as always, and Einhorn gave me special feels. I'm gonna drink the fuck out of that beer when it comes out.

Fun to watch Michael get absolutely shot down by the hot redhead with the book, and also great to hang out with Chow, Alex, Jonathan, et al.
