hows everyone feeling today? it looked like we had a couple people tie one on last night.

 

I got very drunk at the Twins game yesterday and realized after I left that I didn't actually watch any of it

so back when i first met my wife, we were going to a phillies game with a group of people. we went to our friends house in philly first to do some tailgating, cornhole, etc. when time came to leave for the game, everyone poured roadies into solo cups. i decided i didnt want a beer, but rather a vodka and fruit punch gatorade. my first attempt at making something delicious yet strong proved unsuccessful as it was basically 50/50 vodka to gatorade. so me being smart, i decided to drink a lot of it really quickly and then add more gatorade to water it down not thinking i was really drinking A LOT of vodka too. needless to say, the rest of this went down quickly. finally get to the game via subway and we grab a beer, then another, then another and didnt watch one minute of the game. once the game ends, we start to leave not realizing how tuned up we were. we are looking for the subway and cant find it. for those that havent been to a sporting event using public transportation (which should be none of you), you basically follow the crowd to where the subway is. well, we didnt think of that and somehow either managed to walk right past it on numerous occasions or never made it there. ending result was a $100+ cab ride home. hindsight pretty funny but was not at the time.

Feeling pretty good, had a couple-3-4 with Steve at Forest and Main on an empty stomach then went home and instead of eating dinner, I just had more beer. I'm old enough to know better.

 

Ours was the annual corporate Twins game and I don't think many of my coworkers saw the game either. We also all went to Fulton before and after, which I think was far more fun. Next year we should take the money that would go for tickets and just spend it at the brewery. They have the game on their big screen and the beer is far cheaper than at the stadium...
