I also wanted to say that the Brisket by the BBQ guy at COAST was better than King Boy.

Boy King is one of my favorite beers. That being said, I almost cant argue with you. Big Boned BBQ brisket is ridiculous.

Also, bottles of BK hit Total Wine. They had about 8-10 bottles as of 4pm today, however, they were charging $16 a bottle so I passed.

I never buy COAST bottles at TW b/c of the 50%+ markup. $16 plus tax is ridiculous!

I thought Boy King was good, but when I woke up this morning all I can do is think about that brisket.

Does anyone know what the deal is with the neighborhood next to Riverfront Park (just across the bridge from COAST? All the large, nice southern houses that have been abandoned.

Pretty sure it's office housing from the naval base.

That's not true. Westbrook Mr. Chipper was $2 cheaper at Total Wine than at the brewery. Old Time beers were the same price at Total Wine as at the brewery. That goes for most of their beers. Not sure why they pull that crap with COAST brews. Also, BBA Blackbeerd was $15 at the brewery, but it was $17 at TW. So, how can a $10 bottle cost the same as a bottle of BBA beer?

I only mentioned that COAST beers had the ridiculous markup. I know that the Westbrook beers run pretty much the same price at the brewery and TW. I'm pretty sure that b/c WB has so much more volume than COAST at TW, they (WB) can better control the pricing outside of their brewery. Just my 2 cents...

Fresh Boy King bottles (5/8/14) have reappeared at COAST. No growlers, again.

I was just there. Had a pint of Arson Mills Golden Carolina Rice Saison and grabbed a bottle of it. Very good stuff and I've never seen COAST that busy.

What's the odds any of this makes it to Myrtle Beach/North Myrtle Beach and is still available between the 21st-26th?

I'm not sure how big this batch is but based on previous recent Boy King release I would doubt that it makes it to Myrtle Beach, and even if it did I would highly doubt it would still be available on those dates.

Boy King is on draft on Hilton Head Island. I might call and if available grab a growler fill. Kinda excited as living a little over a hour away from Coast the beer is still very difficult to find.

Boy King made it to Myrtle Beach in the past (at least to the Pig, no idea about anywhere else). Is it more sought after or more limited than before? I was really happy to get some of the last Boy King at the Pig when I was randomly in Myrtle Beach for vacation and heard about it.

I was basing that statement off of how quickly the last couple of batches of Boy King (bottles) had been selling out at the brewery, as well as how few bottles made it to stores locally. I also posted that before they made their second of back to back batches, so I posted right around when the first batch sold out at the brewery in just a couple of days. They then brewed a new batch like a week later, so that may change things.

I do know they had been spreading out the time between batches recently (not sure if the batches were smaller or not) due to Citra hop shortages. Hopefully the citra hop shortage is behind us now and they can start making more and getting this nectar of the gods to people all over the distribution area.
