Agree 100%. They were extremely nice at Hunahpu Day, especially given how swamped they were all day.

Rapp brewery was probably my best experience I've had at a brewery to date. Talking with the owner and brewer was awesome and that they opened a bottle of OMG prior to its release for me was great customer service. I don't get down to Tampa much and there are many breweries I would like to hit, Rapp will be a must stop next time.

Guess everybody has a different perspective. I thought CCB handled a real bad situation with complete class. I for one did not think it was at all necessary to refund everybody, but that was a stand up move. You can tell from my avatar that I'm a fanboy here, so to each his own. The wife and I spent the afternoon over there today and as usual every staff person we interacted with was top notch. Looking forward to our next roadtrip over!

The three breweries (Marshall Wharf, Maine Beer Co., and Oxbow) that I visit the most are all excellent. I've never had a bad experience at any of them and their customer service has been great.

Oh trust me, they'll be friendly. Best tap room bartenders around. And if Clark, mike, beer murph or any of the other guys are around, it's even more fun.

Honestly, the best experience. As they grow and grow and grow...I hope they can keep that. I really think they will.

With as much as I plan on spending, I'm sure they will be very friendly.

When visiting Indy in February, the Sun King folks were great! I talked the ear off of the woman giving me tastings and eventually realized I missed the sign for how the process worked, but she didn't make a big deal of it and do not think I was actually charged. And the Fistful of Hops cans I got were not bad either...

Paul and Anello @ Central Waters are phenomenal, generous, down to earth guys. Central Waters gets my vote.

Only one to which I've gone is Schell's down in New Ulm, MN. Had a great time on the tour, got some neat pix of the peacocks strutting around the grounds and enjoyed the tasting room immensely. Even my beer disliking wife enjoyed the tasting room as they served their 1919 Root Beer along with the other brews.

They are perfectly content with what they got and just want to keep going. The head brewery, Bryan, is the most down to Earth dude and is usually at Max's for any special events, since his beers are on tap there for them. Their tour is super non-chalant and informal, but informative. I can't say enough good things about those guys. Great beer and great atmosphere.

Gotta add Burial Beer Co. to that list. Some of the nicest people you'll ever meet work there

As for the brewer(y) that tops my list of most friendly and awesome: Bob Sylvester of Saint Somewhere. Was in Tarpon Springs because my parents were visiting me when I lived in Florida and my mom wanted to check out the sponges. I knew tours weren't officially offered during the week and there was no full tasting room but I called to see if a small visit was possible. Bob answered, said his morning wasn't very busy that day and offered to show me and my parents around. Not that there was much to show since this is it:

Anyways, I get there and he gives us the buy a glass for $5 and get it filled three times deal that usually goes down during tours. Got to try some fresh Saison Athene for the first time and fell in love with the beer. Shot the shit with him for almost two hours and had a blast. Such an awesome, down-to-earth dude that obviously has great passion for beer. He went out of his way to accommodate us so I'll always go out of my way to commend him for his excellent customer service and friendliness.

This is so {wiping away a tear} beautiful. Rock-star brewers who are less welcoming than Trappist monks should ... have their inventory widely distributed. OK, no punishment is really merited, but this is great.

Thankfully, brewing seems to be a game for extroverts and quirky personalities.

Captain Lawrence Brewing co - outstanding customer service and great staff.

Oh, and the beer's good too.

Keegan Ales in Kingston was awesome too.

I would say that Brooklyn Brewery was my worst experience.

    OK, I gotta ask.
Why does FFF get such a bad rap.
I know I'm a homer, but I've been there countless times and never had a bad experience.
We've seen a couple customers who give customers in general a bad name.
One guy offered the guy at the door $100 to move him up the list.
It's that type of attitude from customers that I think FFF doesn't like.
    Just my .02$

Most of the breweries in Charlotte (probably all) are friendly and welcoming. The owners and brewers hang out a lot and are great as well. Birdsong is my go-to because of the casual, friendly atmosphere, but NoDa & Triple C are also great.

Asheville, Wicked Weed has nice workers despite the crowds and their owners and brewers seem really cool. Burial's brewers & owners and atmosphere are awesome. Todd, owner/brewer at Fonta Flora is the man and the pub is super friendly.

Odell and New Belgium in Fort Collins - such great people and service, especially considering their size and crowds.

Here are a couple of recent ones I have been to.

Cantillon and Koningshoeven were great. I didn't get a brewery tour at Koningshoeven but I had the best club sandwich of my life paired with a La Trappe Tripel. To top it off a brother of the monastery wheeled out the beer I bought on a dolly and helped the wife and I load it into the car. I had to explain I wasn't spending 400 euro for just me, but some was for my neighbor also.

I did the full tour last time I was at Cantillon. Great people there. My neighbor and I spent about 300 euro each so they opened at bottle of Zwanse 2013 for us to drink on site for no extra charge. I think more Americans were there than anyone else.

A brewer I am impressed by on this site is Sixpoint. I have never been or even had a Sixpoint beer. Reading @Sixpoint interact with people on this site, especially on the the beer release forum, has me impressed. When I move to Dover, DE in three months I will be buying your product.

When we were living in Chicago we took a day trip to Munster to grab some lunch and some Zombie Dust. It was a really windy day and the power got knocked out at Three Floyds. The brewpub was nearly empty, maybe 5 people total. Our waitress sat us down and disappeared for a good 15 minutes. I walked up to the bar and asked the bartender for a couple of waters, he looked at me like I was some crazy asshole and told me that my waitress would get that for me (keep in mind he wasn't busy as there was no one sitting at the bar). She came back, we ordered our waters and our beers. The bartender poured our beers...and our water. A lot of the bartenders there have a real smug attitude and don't really give two shits what you have to say to them.

On the other hand. Our first trip to the brewpub, we got two seats at the bar, had an awesome time and the bartender that time gave us a huge stack of coasters to take home. So I've had both awesome times and disappointing times in Muster.

When Dogfish Head was releasing Positive Contact in box sets a few years ago, I was really worried that I would miss out for some reason. I was visiting the brewery in a few weeks and I called up the brewpub to see if they could set a box aside. The guy I got couldn't do that, but instead he bought an extra box for me that he took home and gave me his cell #. When I got to the brewery a few weeks later, I got to meet him, have a great time, and get my beer.

In hindsight I wouldn't have had a problem grabbing a box as there were plenty left, but it's awesome that someone whom I never met before would do that...even if the worst case scenario for him was that I didn't show and he'd have an extra box of beer!

Never been there and it'd be interesting to hear from people who have been to sixpoint. But they have came on here before and asked how I liked Hi-Res, that was pretty sweet

Tree House - They're always upbeat there, even if the wait is long. Last time they served some Eureka to the line.

Ballast Point - Bought (what was an older bottle) of Victory at Sea with some "snot" at the bottom - sent them a pic and they sent out a few bottles to replace it (although one broke on the way) and explained how it probably happened. Always quickly answered the e-mails - never had the feeling I was bothering them.

HF - Went up during snow - with only 4 ppl in line. Didn't feel welcomed, really negative vibe ("Hello" or even a smile would have been nice). Didn't even bother getting the fourth sample I paid for - my ticket was taken after three and not returned, but at that point I didn't care).
