Just checking to see the interest in getting together on June 23rd at the Wrightsville Beach in Montpelier. http://www.wrightsvillebeachvt.com/ If there are enough people interested we can rent the large shelter. It is a short distance away from the other picnic sites, has plenty of parking and is right on the disc golf course. Last year we grilled and enjoyed a great bottle share. If there is enough interest we could even schedule a disc golf tournament. This is your meet-up, so let's hear all of your input, nothing is cast in stone yet.
Absolutely, There is an awesome beach, nice open area for sunbathing & playing. It's by no means a falling down drunk event. Last year we took care of the charcoal and everyone brought stuff to grill. We could make it potluck, whatever everyone wants to do. I will need to send a deposit soon to secure the shelter. It already sounds like there will be plenty of interest so unless there some major objections I will make reservations tomorrow. Grills up and running at noon.
Shelter is booked so we will need to come up with a different location. The shelter is booked for all of the Saturdays in June and July at this point, also most Sundays.
That sounds nice - love that place, and no wedding conflict. You could even camp out that night. And I know Dean's been there with his family when he brought my raincoat back to me that I left at the Brattleboro Brewfest - remember? I am so using that sucker today, so thanks again, Dean!
Philo is a lovely place. The date might be a stretch for me, as we'll just be getting back from the Cape on the 29th. I could possibly escape without the family. Ruth I do remember returning that coat. You are so very welcome. I could also finally get that bottle of Saison vos to you as well!
I should be able to make it to Mt. Philo on the 30th! Great spot and if you park at the bottom it's a nice little hike to the top, if you're lazy you can drive.
It's official, The bros have blessed us with a calendar date: http://beeradvocate.com/events/info/54700
New friends are always welcome, especially when they bring unique beer from thier neck of the woods to share.
I have a beer-buddy from Montreal coming down for this, and she has rented a site at Mt. Philo for Friday & Saturday (2-night minimum, they said.) She asked me what Quebec beers BA's down here might enjoy - I said anything from Trou du Diable! Any other requests, post here & I will pass along to her.
There was a keg of this at Paul Sayler's 50th b-day party - needless to say I hit that keg hard! Still one of my favorite saisons.
