I am interested in ordering about a case of Mixed Cantillon. What Website should I order from. I have been on belguiminabox and shopbelguim. Is there any suggestions?

I can only speak on BIAB, everything was smooth, took about 2 weeks start to finish.

I haven't ordered from them, but TrappistWorld.com has Cantillon packs. The prices seem pretty legit with what I'd expect for ordering Cantillon et al online.

etregourmet is also a great site. Takes about to 2 weeks to get here. and it was cheaper than the other sites listed. Their customer service was excellent as well.

Thanks people. Just curious, do they when is Fou usually released? Some of the websites do have it listed as out of stock. Fou has been evading me for quiet sometime. My friend just did a one of one with a prop. I just don't have the ammo for trading for a fou I suppose.

I was able to get a bottle of Fou last year from Etre.. I think it was like 20 euro a bottle, limit one.

BIAB sold it and LP in a Connaisseurs Box back in October, sold out pretty quickly from what I remember. I wouldn't expect Fou to show up on any of these sites, it is sold out at the brewery itself AFAIK.

I was at the brewery at the end of March and asked the same question.

The answer is sometime in Nov/Dec. Makes sense because they have to wait on the apricots to be harvested at the end of their growing season and shipped to Belgium. Then the beer has to be made etc.

I ordered both of those Cantillon packs (12 bottles total) and it came to about $380.00 with shipping included. They shipped out quick and I got my bottles within 6 or 7 business days. They seem top notch and kill you with shipping materials you can reuse. The shipping materials (not counting boxes) would likely cost an average person $50 dollars if you bought them without buying them in quantity from my experience. I used to hate foam peanuts (when I had to unpack things at works) and secretly wanted to hunt down and kill their creator (joking) but when shipping beer they are really nice to used once you have wrapped the bottles with the normal materials. They wrapped my bottles like normal with twelve inch bubble wrap and then wrapped each bottle with maybe 18 inch bubble wrap. Then the boxes were filled with foam peanuts. They don't skimp on safety of your bottles (boxes were shitty though). Customs was no biggy. They give you a tracking number via Belgian post and once it hits the USPS the same number tells you were it is in the USA at least in regards to customs. I thought they were great.

I emailed them to make sure all the bottles in the packs were actually still available as if you bought them as singles they were listed as not available and they got back to me within a day and confirmed they were still available in the packs. You might want to do the same just to make sure but they probably are if the packages are listed.

I'm sure Fou Foune will be available on the sites when it comes out again. They wouldn't list it if they weren't getting it and had it for sale at some time. FWIW though I got mine via a trade for DB Huna.

Right now TrappistWorld seems to have the best selection is you want to buy the packs. Most places are out of most except the easy ones to buy over there. I'm all full of Cantillon after that purchase and a few trades. Can't wait to open some but waiting to swallow some beer with a timeline. Then I think I'm going to try to order a bunch of 3F from the place that has the best selection.

I would make sure that the place you order from uses Belgium Post. Some places have tried to use cheaper carriers and they were caught up in customs and got sent back to Belgium from what I have read on here.

Keep in mind it is always a crap shoot. If you can't afford to lose your money because customs catches your shipment I wouldn't suggest ordering. I believe most orders end up getting delivered by the USPS so it is what it is. I think most packages get by or else you would see many threads warning you.

Thanks for the detailed feedback! Definitely been thinking about ordering some Westy and Cantillon, but like you said later, it always seems a crap shoot. ....also, the ethics of ordering Westy seem iffy to me, since it's obviously not the monks' intent to ship it out via a middle man, or else they'd already be doing that.

Either way, I will probably order one of those packs of Cantillon....eventually.

Get them while you can. They might not be there tomorrow. I had a good experience but can't say you will. You likely will though. Don't quote me on that though as we all know how things go. After my experience I would be pretty confident though.

Seriously, those packs aren't going to be available too long. Get them while you can. Westys are always going to be easy to get overseas via shipping. I've tasted a westy 12 at Darkness day and lucked into one of those that got shipped to merica after the fact as I was Scuba diving in Bonaire.

Bumping a very old thread, but I went to order from Trappist World... $130 for shipping? Hard pass.

You do realize they're in Belgium, right? You must not have ever shipped anything anywhere if you think that's too high. A 12 bottle shipper across country in the US is easily $40, that's without customs and international details to contend with.

I hate ordering bottles of anything alcoholic from overseas, specifically for this reason. I bought a $100 bottle of whiskey from the UK and paid $50 for the shipping (which seems to be a pretty common rate). But yeah, the shipping ain't cheap, but it's a necessary evil, unfortunately.

You can pretty much expect to double your order total with shipping from any of the Belgium-based sites. In other words, the shipping will be almost as much as the beer itself.
